The rubber seal component on the inside of my 355 gas cap is cracked and split and Ricambi said that they don't sell the rubber piece separately. The cost of an entirely new gas cap is equal to the GDP of a small country so buying one is not an option. Have any of you experienced a similar issue? Any suggestions?

Got a regular plumbing type of seal in the plumber's aisle at the Hardware store for 2.45$

Fits in very tight so it stays in place and has a portruding inner circumference for a better seal.

Was a little hard to put in at first and had to push hard to close the gas cap properly when it was new but after a few weeks it was perfect.
