Any suggestions on how to test? I think that the easiest way is simply take the miles you drove after filling up and take that number down, and take the amount of gallons you put in and devide it the next time you go empty (till light goes on) and devide the two. Also see how many gallons are left when the light goes on (owners manuel etc.. for that info) and make proper adjustments. Any suggestions?

Thanks this is one of my first post and am glad to be part of the site!

That's about all it takes! Drive miles, add gallons, divide.
Drive enough miles to make it worthwhile--clowns on other forums have insisted that they'd drive to the airport & back and watch the fuel needle and determine if something had improved their mileage. Use most of the tank. Use a consistend fill technique--3 clicks is pretty normal. If you can fill up at the same station & pump, even better. But those variations in pumps are the reason to drive more miles to begin with...

Oh, and don't be worrying about the light.
