    Hello!
I recently purchased my 458 and opted to not pay for the CPO warranty.
Ive been getting a check engine light with the following codes: P2407, P0455.

i am trying to narrow it down to either a faulty/stuck neck filler or EVAP canister ( which may be odd at 25K miles)
I am assuming its due to the filler neck not closing.
Attached are some photos of my filler neck.

can i get an opinion if my gas filler neck looks stuck in the open position? if so, any experience on possible DIY solutions?

i have added reference photos i found on the forum that seems to have a silver "coin" looking slot that is missing on my car.

    Thank you in advance.

Yeah, yours is definitely stuck open or maybe just gone. Maybe you can clean/lubricate it with a cotton swap soaked in petrol if it's just stuck in the open position but I'm not too sure it's there at all from your picture.

My friend kept getting a engine light on his 360CS for the very same thing. Cap wasn't right enough.

The evap canister is prone to having issues It can get filled with gas a which ruins it
And there is another valve farther downstream from the shiny metal flap (which you have posted )
Fixing these is nothing to worry over, aside from the expense
Maybe your shiny flap is stuck open You can try with a stiff wire with a bent end to see if you can fish it out and get it to close more. If it does wait a day and see if the Check Engine disappears
You probably need to replace this part of the fueling plumbing anyway.

I feel that the entire system is flawed and always an annoyance to fill up. Even after 3 yrs ownership, however only adding 3,400k on the current 7,700 on the clock, I am still not used to it, but I still find it annoying...

I share your pain. This is why I know a little about this system. I had to replace the system step by step!

My 458 had that issue and required replacement prior to purchase.
