If all you 308 owners are tired of paying outrageous gas prices, do what I did! Get one of those cool Tesla motors and do a transplant. The car is faster, quiter and who gives a damn if gas prices reach $ 7.50/gal by next year!
If you're seriously interested, I'll tell you how to do the transplant.

    Truth, or photochop?

I'm interested in the technical details, and a lot more pics.

I have seen it done and ridden in Pontiac Fiero's, they are heavy and handle like a dart, very ruff on brakes.

Where you are going to put all the batteries in a 3x8 Ferrari?

The good thing is about the conversion is no cam belts!

Will Birdman make a 1000 amp fuse block for it?

if you zoom in on the slats you can see the refection between them where he didn't inset the black matt material that is supposed to be around the plug

Also, the plug and socket are different sizes. Quite funny though. I'll e-mail that pic out to some friends to upset them. :)

Tillman, why in the world would you be interested in an electric motor when you have an oil well in your backyard? What you need is a powerful Bosch air conditioner to keep the temperatures in your 308 below 60 degrees........

How often do you have to change the timing belts on that?

The plug and receptacle are wrong genders, the car would have had a male plug and the shore power cable should have been a female......maybe its a European car, but my US one has he gas, errrr ahhhh fuel on the left side.

But it is a nice picture!

B.S. 4 sure. At least that photo.
That's a standard 220v appliance cord, the end shown would go to the wall outlet, having it in the fashion shown would be quite dangerous. The picture also implies that the charging equipment would be onboard, pretty silly in a car that already has no room for batteries.

Is that a screen in the intake scoop?
    If so, why?
    Do the batteries need cooling?
How do you produce vacuum for the power brakes?
    Who pays for the electricity?
What about the pollution at the power plant?
What will we do with the surplus oil?
How will the Arabs live without any income?
How long is the extension cord?
Tesla batteries only last 5 years and are $40k, how does that factor in?
How many times/year did you fill up your gas tanks?
So, whats with the intake scoop screen?

I think I can answer this one. Some 308s (I think for the Swiss market?) had mesh screens over the intake scoops because of local laws regarding openings of a certain size on cars. I saw one locally on an '85 QV recently. Perhaps they're afraid of birds and small children entering the scoop?

Wouldn't you need a really loooooooong extension cord to drive your car?

I am about 99.53492564% sure the German market require them. Swiss, maybe.
