I was just wondering what Octane gas most of you 348 owners use most often. What's the highest and lowest octane you've used? Any problems either way (with the high or low octane)?

I have never put anything into my 348 except Chevron Supreme, which I believe is 91 octane. I am totally pleased with it (except for the price).

    93.

Why anything less? Ok, the owner's manual probably says 91, so don't go below 91.

Here in Georgia 93 octane is premium...91 is mid-grade with regular being 89 octane.

The 348 OM actually says 95 (R.)O.N. minimum -- which is about 90 AKI minimum as shown on the US pumps. Here in CO you can usually only get 87 AKI or 91 AKI so no choice really available unless you go hunting.

(Always found it sort of odd that F doesn't convert the R.O.N. spec to an A.K.I. spec in the US OMs.)

In England we pay about £4.50 per gallon thats about 8 bucks id love to pay $2.77.

A track day at silverstone last month cost me £285.00 in fuel its only a 2 hour drive there and back.

I tried 103 octain raceing fuel , did not make the slightest differance untill i engaged the Nitrios it really like that.

Best we get in SoCal is 91, although there are a few places with 100 octane unleaded at the pump. My 348 seems happy with the 91.

    Cheers
