They are out there but getting rarer by the day. I waited a long while to find mine. There are more gated spiders than Berlinettas keep that in mind as you search. Also they fetch a big premium now and dealers and private sellers both know that. Yours will come along friend, keep the faith!

I waited as well for a Titanium 2005 gated coupe. They are out there.

I see a 2005 Silverstone spider on the Dupont Registry........no photo but they claim it is gated.

    Keep the faith........

It's not silver or black, but this one just came on the market a few days ago. A few people on here have expressed an interested in a gated 430 so figured I'd post it in case anyone was interested. I was going to start a new thread but since you didn't specify color in your title, figured I'd partially hijack your thread. Hope you don't mind.

    Cars for Sale: 2006 Ferrari F430 in Del Mar, CA 92014: Coupe Details - 393247703 - AutoTrader.com

I talked to the owner and he's a nice guy. Its a low mileage (5,300) red over tan with a couple of options. The only obvious negative (if this is even a negative) is that its had 5-6 owners already. Car is currently in CA. Owner said he bought it from a dealership in FL. Asking price is $139k.

I've only seen a couple of gated 430's on the market. If you're in a big rush to get a 3 pedal, you could pick this one up until you find the color you want. Shouldn't be any trouble unloading a red over tan when you find the color you want.

I would do a thorough check on it since it has had so many owners. Might be tough to verify history.

Seller wants $140k which is a very reasonable price my advice when looking for rare 3 pedal F430. (1) expect to pay a premium and moreso as time passes (2) don't over negotiate or try low balling ... Someone's going to buy the car regardless and most sellers and dealers know this. (3) act fast. These rare birds won't sit for long (4) get the options package that you want just becuase its gated dont disregard your other desires if that means Daytona seats or deviated stitching or whatever so be it. (5) realize that Berlinettas in gated F430 trim are far less common than their gated spider counterparts, so if you want a soft top you have a little more chance. (6) don't be a mileage mongrel w these gated cars. Some have low miles but others have higher miles, why ... Becuase they're gated for heaven's sake people love driving them! Get records and service history and take comfort in knowing high or low miles your getting one of the rare and desirable F430 variants that will go up in value as years go by and will increasingly be harder to find with each passing day. Less and less out there that are available on market or in private collections.

Lastly and this one irks me... double check pictures to make sure you're looking at a TRUE 3 pedal gated car, lots of dealers and online sellers say manual or 6 speed and the car is an F1 which technically it is BUT its not a 3 pedal gated. Always ask to see picutres.

Just some lessons learned from my patient searching process.

    +1

This is all great advice. Couldn't have said it any better.

Absolutely agree on the 'manual' descriptions. Drives me nuts as well. I do read the descriptions bc they will often list F1 or say shiftable manual. I can understand the Chevy dealers messing it up. But can't understand the F dealers messing it up.

Usually I have to rely on pics. I never post anything here unless I have visual confirmation.

I am going to shamelessly look for a free appraisal for my 3 pedal 2005 coupe. R/T with black carpets. 25K miles. Options: power daytonas, painted calipers, shields, leather headliner, black piping. I am the original owner and I have no plans to sell it.

I'm no expert so take this for what it's worth. These are the couple of data points I have.

The vehicle listed above which I also agree is fairly reasonably priced at $140k. Much less mileage than yours but maybe a story there with 5 previous owners.

Ferrari of New England has a R/T spider that they have listed for a while. Currently at $145k I think. Very few options and also in the 25k mile range. It's been discussed on this site so people know about it and have passed so I think they're over priced. Again, my opinion.

Marshall Goldman had a very nice R/T spider with around 5k miles. All the options at $160k. I thought that was overpriced but its not listed anymore so I'm assuming it sold. I know they already reduced the price down to $160 so not sure how much farther down it came.

The 360 3 pedal market for red over tan appears to be in the 85k-110k range depending. Maybe just 100k except for an outlier at Newport Beach that was listed high but also appears to have sold so maybe wasn't as much of an outlier as previously thought.

If you asked me to put a number on yours, I'd say somewhere in the $115-$130k range. I listed the 360's as a sort of floor. Even though someone might take a low mileage 360 over your higher mileage 430. I'm dinging you for high mileage and being an early model 430 as a 2005.

As I said, just my opinion. Sunir and others may have better history and insight.

All that said, good to hear you have no interest in selling. Who cares about my valuation and the mileage. Just drive the thing and enjoy it.

After reading some of the above posts, I'm glad I chose to get 3-pedals when specing out my '08 430 red/cuoio coupe. I agree that manual coupes are rarer than spiders and much more rare than Scuderias. I'm the original owner and the car has less than 5000 miles and is in flawless condition with no accidents. Seeing how rare a late model coupe is I wouldn't accept any offers under $200K if I were to put it on the market. It may take me years to sell it at my price but that's okay with me since I would be in no hurry to sell it. Heck, I was planning to keep it forever. I always thought that if I did replace my 430 it would be for the 458 replacement. Now that we know what it looks like I have to wait to see the road tests and how the 488GTB sounds before I deem it a worthy replacement for my 430. Also, the advantage to keeping my car is that it seems it will continue to appreciate in value. There will be nothing special about the 488GTB to keep it from depreciating like the regular 458s.

Different markets obviously favour different cars, UK manual coupe's were actually slightly more plentiful than manual spiders when new and both are more plentiful than Scuderia's on the used market.
    Great cars - loved mine.

    Stunning car and MT too.

I have that same interior fabric setup in my 612, and it seems to go well with any exterior color, such as the Grigio Silverstone that my Ferrari has.

A couple of pics of mine. Nero Ds on nero interior full leather including firewall, headliner and door panels, full yellow deviated stitching throughout and yellow tachometer, yellow shields and calipers, Rare sport/race carbon seats, CCM big brakes, Polished Challenge wheels with almost new Bridgestones (may sell these PM me if interested, pics are set with 11mmF/15mmR Hill Engineering spacers + hardware which I will offer with the wheels for whatever I got into 'em if you like the way they fill the wells let me know, I think they are perfect w the chassis and ride height setup on the car). I just went with 19"/20" staggered set of Advan F7 (great wheels write-up and more pics to come on those).

Oh and of course, the main reason I went with this F430 over the used 458 or Scud I originally was going for...the awesome last of it's kind gated 3 pedal 6MT !! :)

Here's a couple for starters :) right now we're in the midst of being bombarded by intermittent snow storms periodically hiding under gray freezing cold sky cover and ice and salt caking the ground... better photos to come...these were taken by a buddy at a parking lot a few of us met on a fluke Weds afternoon when it was a warm 48 deg one day out of the blue a few weeks ago! Pardon the winter dirtiness of the car. These are the Advan Fully forged F7 (made by Rays Eng. same as Volk Racing forging process) 19x8.5/20x12 setup shot in brand new Michelin Pilot Super Sports!

Thanks Schneid and everyone else for the kind words. Was lucky to have found such a unicorn, I've not seen that combination of options in any F430 before or since... Lots of waiting and being patient then moving swiftly when the right car came along.
