Im not. It is a nice car, I’m happy with it, and it’ll be a driver anyway. Not an investment. My comment wasn’t a complaint, just a statement. :D

Not against people trying to make a buck off of Ferraris, but don't buy a car for investment....at least not at the price point of a 360. You may make a little money, but buy the car to drive and enjoy. Drive your car folks and if it makes you some cash, it's a plus.

One reason is the Euro market VIN's don't track accident records like our Carfax does. It could be a completely rebuilt car, and it can be very easily hidden, record-wise.

If that’s the case, good enough reason to rest my case and concede defeat. Paper trail is very important for collectibles.

Guess I’ve been quite oblivious to that fact. Seems odd considering that the EU tends to have rather decent consumer protection schemes.

Quite often buyers rely on (fallible) Carfax vs what’s in front of their own eyes. That car was a 100% perfect, sub-12k mile example.

I feel like most euro cars made it to the states early on, and a pretty good paper trail exists for most of them. I suppose if you live in CA or something they might be difficult to smog or register?

This one was mine, and it was right at my reserve. Given the mileage and the fact that anyone in a state that has strict emissions would have significant work to do to pass, I thought it was fair. Would I have liked 100k-110k? Of course, but this was a very realistic number. One of the cases where both buyer and seller should be happy. It left room for the buyer to fix some of the little issues if he wants, and it got me what I was willing to take.
