I don't do convertibles. I just follow the coupes because it's what I have. My chart shows sort of a middle of the market asking price of about 82K for a car with about 22K miles. I am sure it wouldn't be too hard to add a delta (IDK ~7-10%) for a comparable spider to see if you are looking at a car that is priced competitively. Three C's is the rule of the day, condition, condition, condition.
Based on your sheet, how would you estimate the price of a 2004 360 coupe manual with 19k? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am not really estimating but rather reporting on asking prices. If we sort the data using year you get this. If you allow the data to do the talking I think you are around 90K with "condition" or "expectations" providing an offset either way. I added 2003 as well since they are close. A lot of folks will assume that the last year of a car model are automatically more valuable. I suppose they are generally right but in the case of the 328 the concave wheels to support the new or upgraded ABS made for a different aesthetic. The gated 360's are more homogenized being divided into only two classes (maybe 3), early or late (and 99 models). If I am wrong on this point someone please chime in. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great thread! I have a Challenge Stradale so its well an F1 but if I could have gotten one with 3 pedals that would have been my choice hands down. When I eventually let the Stradale go I will get a 3 pedal 360 or 430 Coupe. If I recall correctly from the 360 buyers guide on here, the 2002 model year for the 360 has most of the reliability improvements done to it but most of them are F1 related so as long as you are talking about a 3 pedal car the entire spectrum of 360's should be just fine.
FYI, the 99 listed at 64.5k (SN 6150) SOLD for 50k --- car needed a major but otherwise looked pretty good. I was one day too late!
Where did you go look at it? EDIT: This was a Craigslist car in NC right. That is a pretty desperate sale. Do you know the particulars? How did you come to find out the sale price?
Car didn't sell on Ebay. I found it in my records that it was also for sale on Ebay back in April of this year and the ad said he was selling it for a friend. This always catches my eye because of the potential for denial-ability of condition. It was listed at 78,500. It had 17,500 miles then and needed full service. Looks like Automotive Excellence gave it a full service and a clutch and re-listed it. After all that work they would surely be well knowing of this car. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Looks like a bit of availability for this end of the year check. I cruised Cars.com and Ebay and these are available. This is the first year I have collected the data and I had found 47 Gated manuals up for sale in 2014 with these 8 remaining. I don't have anyway to know if they all sold or not or just were taken off the market. Happy New Year Everyone! I have been going at this since last march so almost a year. Here is the latest. Lots of cars have come and gone over this past 10 months. 47 have popped up since I started collecting the data. Of course I don't know what the selling prices were or how many of them had ads that expired but some data is better than none if you are into this stuff. If I scour my usual websites I have found 13 cars in the US available to purchase this month. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
