So converted 360s trading at par with factory ones by the looks of todays BAT silver car.
I'm not making any accusations here, but I wonder if it had something to do with the ad itself...there was a lot in info between pictures with just a blurb about the "transaxle" being replaced. I even missed it on first look. Makes me wonder if the buyer either missed the fact that it was a conversion from F1, or is under the impression that the car has a newer tranny.
Market is way higher, This car went for 140k plus w 33k miles Sub 10k cars are asking 170-199k Image Unavailable, Please Login
Or it won’t. There are very few pininfarina designed gated mid-engine Ferraris in existence. I just bought one and that’s one more off the market permanently. /
They made a lot of 360’s I think you’d agree like Me that those spikes in the market have been unusual and dare I say, unreasonable. It has to correct at some point. Additionally other auction venues and private parties don’t seem to get the same kind of money BAT is getting. We are curated for instance is selling right now a manual, convertible 360, from Ralph Lauren’s collection and they “only” want 130-140k for it. We shall see. I may be wrong as often Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
i track the market closely and i have not heard of any 360 stick sales of over 150k... just from BAT there is no evidence of the numbers you posted fwiw https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2001-ferrari-360-spider-23/ https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2001-ferrari-360-spider-18/ https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-ferrari-360-modena-8/ https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-ferrari-360-spider-27/ https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-ferrari-360-modena-11/ https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-ferrari-360-spider-33/
I posted the 140k (includes the 5k buyers fee) result of the 33k mile car from BAT Asking is from other websites, not BAT, see below, we will never see dealer results, although might hear about them Fchat buyers occasionally. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
JMHO, the gated naturally aspirated market across all top brands is very strong, and will get firmer with every EV and turbo produced.
That’s true. IMHO it should be (price wise) 599>512m>512tr>575m>430>355gts>355gts>TR>360’s>355spider>348’s Not sure where to put 550’s and 612. Only talking manual prices here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Agreed......my 2017 Shelby GT350 is worth what I paid for it. No longer made, likely one of the last exotic engine manual cars to be made. While they may be higher temporarily due to the market inflation on everything, I do not expect a big drop in prices on these cars and say 911 stick cars. The 911 market is completely bonkers...the Rennlist guys saying wait a year, don’t know about that one. Aspirated GTS (and GT3, but I want a GTS) cars are sky high, I stopped looking......
Exactly, I agree, just sold my 2016 GT350, ran out of storage, had fun for 3 years, sold for for more than my cost, a great situation when it happens, a break even after sales tax and maintenance, free smiles/miles!
In my humble opinion, that BAT car got a 10K premium due to low miles. It only had 6K miles on it....that drove the final price IMO....Still a wonderful car...
Not at all. A 6k mile true factory manual would be worth way more than $130k. A factory manual 33k mile car sold for $136k a couple of weeks ago. In my head, the converted manual cars trade midway between the price of an F1 car vs factory manual car. So if a 30k mile F1 transmission car is $85k and a true manual is $135k, a converted car would be ~$105k. This seems to hold for other converted cars as well if you look at the handful of data points available (F430, 599, etc). Don't know if those prices will continue to hold as other conversion options enter the market in the next couple of months, but it looks like right now you can actually make money by purchasing an F1 box car and converting it.
Last July I purchased a one owner 5900 mile gated Modena for 130k. TDF Blue/Bordeaux, Daytona seats, red calipers, etc. Even had the original tires ( which have been replaced with nos F430 wheels/Michelin PS4S tires.) All original paint, no rain, etc. I would suspect that it’s value has increased significantly over the last 12 months. While I have never purchased a car simply as an investment, it’s nice to see the values increase.
From Google. Gated F430…nothing worth tracking. Manual F430, some data but not enough to track by state. Low volume car, even lower volume (for search engines) search volume. The audience that’s interested is here….which would make FChat search interesting. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Sorry gang, I looked at data for both 360 & 430 and posted the wrong screen shot. The 360 is a more difficult search term due to 360 deg, etc. if someone has a few examples of what they searched for, I’m happy to use some of the tools I have to provide a snapshot. IMHO, the audience is here and FChat search is still the most valuable assessment of interest. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
