Hello. So it's still sort of surreal that I'm actually making this post. I've loved Ferrari's for as long as I can recall, but never even pondered owning one because of the cost. I've been blessed in recent years, though, and a nice car is now within reach. But let me get to the details. I'm looking for a 430 (no carbon ceramic brakes) or 360 (2003 through 2005) gated manual car. Red on tan. Obviously it needs to be in good shape, and I prefer one with an excellent maintenance history (who doesn't?). I don't mind some miles as this car will be driven! I'd love a 430, but the manuals have gone ballistic lately in terms of pricing, so I'm not sure that will happen. But a 360 would be fine as well. Also, I'm good with a hard top or a Spider. Any advice or leads would be tremendously appreciated, and I'm truly looking forward to joining the community of owners that love these cars as much as I do! Thank you in advance for your help!

Have you driven either a 360 or 430 yet? That may help you decide.

Interestingly the price difference between the F1 and manual cars at Roy's is 120k, wow that is a crazy delta between the 2.

Hey everyone. Thank you so much for the replies and PM's thus far. I'm pretty set on the red/tan color combo, but there are clearly some beautiful examples out there of other color combos. Andy308, I've not actually driven either. I've driven a 355 and a 458. Both were amazing in very different ways. I'm not buying this car for overall performance. I have a track prepped STi that would definitely turn faster laps than a 360 and would probably give a 430 a run for it's money. And if all I cared about was lap times, I would buy the 430 with the F1 tranny. This is much more about the allure, history, and emotion of owning and driving a Ferrari. My wife and I both love cars and we both agreed that a manual tranny was a must. Unfortunately, it seems that folks are asking for crazy premiums these days on manuals, especially the 430's. But the search continues. Please do keep any recommendations or leads coming! Thank you again!

That's incredibly kind of you! I see you live in the Atlanta area as well. I would love to take you up on that...and moreover, buy you lunch and pick your brain on 360 ownership. I'll PM you! Thanks Andy!

Thanks for the lead. Checked his web site, and one is manual but not red on tan. A bit pricey as well. Keep them coming, though!

Absolutely stunning car! I love the blue, and the interior, but I love the red on tan more. As I'm sure you know, red is Italy's racing color dating back to early F1 days. And it's just such a classic Ferrari color. That's what I have to have. But thanks for the lead, and please pass others along as you come across them!

Definitely beautiful...and tempting! But I have to hold out for the Rosso Corsa! Thank you, though!

Which is why I will likely end up with a 360. Although I've come across a few 430's that were getting somewhat close to my price range, so I haven't totally given up on them.

Just thought I'd add a note I had an 02' 360 Spider manual which I traded two years ago for a F430 Spider manual both Nero, both great cars. I find the road manners of 430 much better than the 360. It reminded me of my older 67s Corvette, A bit rougher ride , but still both too amazing cars! You would be happy with either!!!! If you'd like to talk about the differences I found I would be happy to talk to you anytime.
