Is it hard to remove? Does it come off without the guage cluster? I want to take it off to make a template for an overlay unless someone has a template already they could send me, that would be great. What about the piece around it that the warning lights shine through. Will they just pop off with a flat tip, looks like it, but don't want to brake them. Someone called themselves “detailing” the car before I got it, and got some greasy dressing behind those parts.

Going to try some stainless and some carbon fiber overlays. Maybe make a small batch if they come out nice.

For the air vents, there is supposed to be something to depress to get them to pull out, any have detailed pictures. Want to get some goo-gone on them, unless the oven spay method is a lot easier and safe.

The warning lights DO NOT just pop out. However, you can get to them pretty easy by removing the instrument pod.

To do that you remove the two little screws on the bottom corners of the pod, grab ahold of the sides, and then lift it straight up. Now disconnect the cables from the back of the instruments, and it's out.

I know the middle air vent can be popped out. The two vents on the side have a little tab that needs to be pushed. Do a search of the archives on that one as it has been posted before with pics.

Thanks ernie. So it comes off with the guages as one piece?

"The warning lights DO NOT just pop out." Talking about the ten covers over the lights, correct? In one spot, looks like you can put in a flat tip.

OK, just so we are clear, I want to remove the semi transparent covers that go over the CEL lights, can someone tell me how? Some got some greasy mess behind it, likely some detailing spray.

You'll need to remove the entire gauge cluster. The clear panels snap in but you can't access the snaps from the front.

We can sell you a carbon fiber panel that fits on the cluster without removing it from the car. We already took the time to make a template for this piece, so you don't have to do it yourself.
