    Hi All,

    My name is Andrew, I'm from Melbourne Australia and at the start of my journey to one day own a Testarossa, preferable a later model 88 to 91.
    I currently have a coupe of US muscle cars in my garage, a 66 Pontiac GTO and a 78 Pontiac Trans Am Y88 SE.
    Along with the Trans Am it has been a childhood dream of owning a Testarossa one day, the styling and rear end have always appealed to me.

    As I said I'm currently in the early stages of saving up some coin for one and hope to buy my Testarossa sometime in the next 2 years, in my early reading on the cars they seem to be a great car to own by you have to pick the car very carefully. If any one can point me in the direction of a few good articles or information about these cars that would be great. Along with car sale sites that you visit.

    I am looking locally but not afraid to purchase my car from overseas as I have brought in my 2 US cars from the states (through a 3rd party). Seems that the Aussies prices are slightly inflated over the overseas ones.

    Anyway looking forward to chatting with you all and picking your brains for information.

    Welcome to FerrariChat Andrew. You'll get your Testarossa, just keep saving. I would also suggest you get familiar with the Boxer/TR/M section of Fchat. Read up as much as you can be for you make your purchase.

    On a side note, I was in you neck of the woods last month for the F1 race. I thoroughly enjoyed downtown Melbourne. Nicest big city I've been to.

    Thanks mate, yeah it is a lovely track and had great weather on race day this year! I have been going for over 14 years now and love it.

    Hi Andrew,

    I'm also in Melbourne and am an amid Ferrari fan and the Testarossa has been my favourite all-time car ever since I was growing up and probably also why my favourite 80's show was Miami Vice and favourite arcade game was Outrun... so I can understand your passion and quest to own one.

    Although I am far from any position to afford one or any Ferrari for that matter, and yes prices are obviously over-inflated down under too, good luck with your quest to get one and when you do, I'll probably see you driving it around sometime.
