This ( new to me F car ) , I had a chance to take a real good look around .
After a good background read on this mainly and every other forum .

    - Know about the AC flap door bush and error code H6 .Yep I have replaced it with brass hills .= Tick ✅

    - know about the exhaust ECU s and the CAT temp lights etc etc .They are still in situ , but preventatively I have Stabiented 22 the connections . = ✅

    - Opened up both fuse boxes and stabilened 22 everything , relays etc …nothing looks burnt btw = Tick ✅

    - Relocated “ fuse 30 a “ to the rhs wing inspection place in the boot ( trunk ) , replaced it with a clickable / resettable .It did show signs of heat damage the fuse was melted in ,= tick ✅

my next Q and reason for this post is the triple seals and potential gear box leak of trany oil ?
    I don’t know , have a reference .
Here’s a pic of mine after Approx 200 miles .
    I can’t see any oil ?

But what do leaky bad ones appear like ?
Assume mine ok ? Is it .Clutch functioning is perfect btw .

    That’s what iam asking basically.

edit - just noticed 3 studs ? How many should there be ?

I see 3 bolts on your picture. You should check the parts diagram for what you should have there. It appears that there is broken-off part (of bolt or stud) in the 4th hole.

To answer your question about a leak - if there was one, you’d see it dripping through. Since that appears to be bone dry, and assuming there is nothing on the floor underneath that area, I believe it is safe to presume you have no leak.

The floor is dry .Thx for coming back .

The GT 4 I have has the gear selector shaft running through the sump . That seal weeps a bit . It’s been replaced by a F tech Indy , but lasted about a yr before dripping again . Not major , not serious and I do a trany oil change annually more to see if it’s contaminated ( the in between seal twixed engine / gearbox ) and it isn’t . So what I am saying is on a 308 series , bit of oil on the garage floor from the selector to sump seal is normal and nothing to worry about by owners .

Just wanted to gauge with the 348 , with its triple seal and others in the “ pumpkin “ what’s normal , what’s every one else is tolerating before a deep dive to fix . I realise the consequences ( if I understood reading around the subject correctly) of oil contamination on the clutch / flywheel ……and if you are doing a clutch bcz it worn May as well “ while in there “ inspect all the seals with a view to replace them .An oil leak here on a 348 is more serious than the 308 leak .

Do folks routinely replace none leaky seals while doing a clutch job ?
Or replace seals only when leaky and if the clutch / flywheel have plenty of meat on ?

I am easy over on this just trying to find out the maintenance culture of dealing with the gearbox hanging out at the back on 348/355 /F40 /F50 .

I put a new seal in mine when I rebuilt the engine 13 years ago and it isn't leaking.

Next time it’s due belts I will get some one else to redo it .
It’s only a egg cup full over 6 months so I just accept because it’s inconsequential.
“ Normal” was a bad choice of words I guess .
