    Hi all,

Drove my car this morning and when I turned it off a gear box notification of some kind popped up for a second on the screen. It disappeared before I could read it??? Any ideas why this might happen? Parked in the wrong gear???

    Thx

If you have not already, start it back up, let it run through the diagnostics and see if you get a message. Like many here, I've had warnings before that were nothing more than a temporary glitch in the system, often related to battery power, but sometimes just a gremlin....

Undercharging battery is known to throw all sorts of scary and expensive fault codes on the 458. It usually clears by replacing the battery or waiting a bit and trying to start the car again, so the ECU can restart.

If the warning comes back up shortly and/or keeps coming back up under different starting/driving circumstances, I'd recommend driving to the nearest dealer asap. Nothing gets better over time, except wine.

    Kind regards,

    Nuno.
