    there was a flight out of Atlanta to the west coast this AM that lost an engine shortly after take off. One story has FOD ( possible large bird ) as the cause. Plane returned safely without further incident. It's the failed mechanical / maintainance ( landing gear ) issues that should raise concern

    How many times is something like this going to be "BREAKING NEWS!" I don't know if I'm getting numb or callous to things like this or I have seen enough of them to be unimpressed but to me this is a non event. The pilot made a normal greaser and ground off some metal and stayed on the runway. But then it's good news.

    Beats hearing about who shot who.

    Just flew with united tonight on a crj7. My flights landing gear had no issues but we did enjoy some turbulence.
