    Hi everyone!

I'd like to find out what's the best gear oil to use on 95 F355. I had tried Mobil 1 75w-90 and I don't realy like it. Does anyone use any other brands?

    Thanks in advance!!

I put in RedLine 75w90 NS, silky smooth. Still need to let the oil warm up, but then it much better the whatever was stock in the tranny.

The consensus sems to be Redline. The NS (No slip) is made for posi units and does not contain any friction modifier. This is the oil to use but may cause some chatter on tight turns. The solution is to add a tiny bit of friction modifier (1-2 oz). If you add too much friction modifer you may get rid of the chatter but you will start to get gear grinding.

The 1-2 cold shift is way better with the Redline!!!

The oil that worked best for me was the Swepco 201. The 1-2 cold shift is not great, but once warmed up it is the most Japanse car like shifting I have found.

One solution that has worked well for me with the Redline is to mix the 75w90 NS with equal parts of the regular 75w90. Redline actually recommended this when I called so I gave it a whirl and it seems to be a good compromise.

I have used Castrol Synthetic in my 348 and now my F355 with good results.Still need to warm-up.But shifts alot smoother than regular gear oil.
