Has anyone had the necessity to replace the " electromagnetic sensor " on the 599 F1 gearbox?, item 39 part No 168729.
I have had a niggling fault with my 2009 599 where the engine will cut out as the car slows to a stop and engages 1st gear.
This time the Ferrari tech at my dealership recorded an error message along the lines of " incorrect speed between gearbox and engine", ( sorry he did not tell me the actual fault code ). He said that this points towards the afore mentioned sensor is at fault.
It has happened x 2 before now but never flagged any fault on the dash or an actual fault code.
The sensor is only £150.00 but its a 4 hour labour task so the final price is just over £1000 at my local dealership.
Does anyone think this may be related to an incorrect set up of the clutch / PIS??
