    Hello Guys!

I would like to ask you if anyone has change the oil of Ferrari 458 gearbox. Do you have information does after changing the oil, the transmission has to be bleed or it bleeds itself automatic. Also if I have to manually bleed the system, does anyone which has done this know the steps of doing this.

Also I have manage to see that there is a two holes on the side of gearbox where the pipes are connected. The upper hole says "ATF IN" and the bottom "ATF OUT". Inside of the holes there is a small filter for the oil in both of them. Is it possiable to be removed from outside or we have to open the gearbox to remove it from the instide. Please see the pictures attached. If anyone has made this any information will be helpfull. Thanks in advance1

I don’t know since I haven’t done mine. I would check the DIY maintenance thread, and if it isn’t there, I’m sure someone here can help. Take plenty of pics and post to the DIY section. Melvok and all of us here would appreciate it

What is the age and mileage of your car, and why are you doing it? Also, let us know fill volume and type of oil. Would be a huge contribution. Thanks, enjoy your 458!

There are some threads which discuss the topic. You might consider sending a sample of your fluids to be analyzed. This might inform the need to change the fluids.

Getrag has stated that the fluid fill is a lifetime fill. Perhaps that means 100,000 miles. Some have suggested the fluid be changed at 50,000 miles. Since interacting with ECUs for the DCT is required, I would suggest that you use the Ferrari software and computer. I think you might be better off, contacting your service center and letting them advise and do the actual work.
