When I was in the process of changing the fluids on my 308 (77 US spec.) and got to the gearbox, I noticed the plug on the side was stripped. Fortunately, I noticed this before draining the fluid. I know I can get it out, but then I will not be able to reuse it. I checked several sponsor sites and other parts sellers and no one seems to have it. Can anyone lead me to a source? Thanks.

    I'd try Dennis McCann, AllFerrariParts.com.

When you replace it, use some anti-seize on the threads, it make life much easier, the next time that you have to remove it.

The other obvious point to note, I think, is whether or not the threads in the gearbox housing have also been compromised.

It's not the threads that are stripped, but the opening that the allen wrench goes into. Sorry for not being clear.
