Practice makes champion I guess. Took the gearbix back out again today, after putting the car 100%back togheter last week (dont ask....)

2Hours 15Min including jacking up the car, until the gearbox was on the bench. Went all smooth! Got a hand from my dad where needed.

I removed the front cover, and there it was, the shifters where all f**** up, and out of aligment. Put it back togheter, and made sure it shifted into all 7 gears (5 +R+N). Then thought, hey, might as well get it back in again... So now its back in again, and the car 99% ready.

All thats is left is the wheelwells and rear wheels. All in a Sundays work.

BTW. You can remove the gearbox with out draining the engine oil. There is only about 1 liter in the sump and hose, if you ONLY jack up the rear, high.

Got the car back on togehter today, and took a spin....

Ohhh yes, yes and yes.... Feels and sounds soo good. No more grinding or whining sound..Just a Ferrrari V8 shouting thru stright pipes into a capristo 2....

AND the car have never shifted so well. I can shift directly into 2nd at my comand, without using heelans toe to rev the engine. It so smooth and nice.
NOW the car is ready to be stored away for winter here, DOH! Great season. 3 monts out of 5 months it was in peices in the garage.

Thanks for all the support, Ernie and Marco in particular. I will try and help other F chatters thu there 348 gearbox crisis in the future.
