    Seems like a good choice and retired Marine Corps Gen. Charles Bolden Jr. has an impressive resume including "He flew more than 100 sorties into North and South Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, in the A-6A Intruder while assigned to VMA(AW)-533 at Namphong, Thailand, June 1972 to June 1973." and four Space Shuttle flights, two as Commander.

    Both the Administrator and Deputy Administrator positions at NASA have been vacant since January so they're a bit overdue for some permanent leadership.

    Wade- He has a really great reputation. NASA (actually the administration) tried to hire him as the Deputy Administrator several years back, but he was still an active duty flag officer and the AF did not want to release him because he was too valuable to the service.

    Wade- I agree and the AF space guys like him, too. I meant the USMC did not want to release him, not the AF. My 22 years in the AF, my father's 32 years in the AAF/AF and my brother's 20 years in the AF, all flying fighters, bleeds through sometimes.
