Great thread, very informative. I am going to Italy next week for three weeks and I will be doing some snooping around. I have a family friend whose son works at the factory for what it's worth.

If they unveil the new F12M, as everyone calls it here (Daytona does sound sexy), at Geneva in 2017, I can't imagine that the cars will be delivered in 2017. Does anyone have any ideas on that?

For sure they will, although RHD I hear will be Q1 2018.

If pervious cars released in Geneva (every March) are any indication, you will likely start seeing cars on the road by Sept/Oct or November as MY2017.

They released the GTC Lusso in Geneva and we still haven't seen any customer cars only dealer show and media test cars to date. In another thread I started I asked if anyone has a black or red 10 confirmation, not one reply. Seems like January before we see early customer deliveries of the GTC Lisso. I don't think the F12M would be much different, so count on another 16 to 18 month for early customer deliveries for the new F12M and a long line up created during the wait period. Hang on to your F12's for now.

I'd say it possible that we'll start seeing Lussos after the August holidays. Also, I remember reading posts here on the board talking about the Lusso being delayed. But usually the Geneva model is delivered here in Europe around Q3 or Q4 the same year at the latest. Seeing that the press cars have been out for a while now, surely indicates that the car is on its way.

I keep checking car news/blogs for spy shots of test mules. We should start seeing them soon, no?

Told today at official Ferrari event that it's just shy of TDF power, more aggressive visually and after F12M the next generation will be smaller displacement V12 with electric also.

I was an N/A man but my 675LT is making N/A feel very "old" and sedate.

As I have posted here, that more aggressive look chimes with what I am told as the 'Daytona' becomes more sports and less GT.

I was told the other day by a Master Technician for Ferrari that the coming/new F12 will have a turbo charged V12.

I don't know if its the F12M or the replacer that will have the turbo engine.

This has been discussed on this thread and elsewhere. There are turbo V12 mules in test but I suspect there may well also be hybrid mules and I think they will and have the time to keep their options open for now. After all 2020/21 is some way off yet.

I believe and understand the F12m will be N/A inspite of what the master technician says.

As long as it's paired with electric rather than forced induction, I'm happy. You get the torque of a forced induction engine with the response and sound of an naturally aspirated engine. And this hybrid technology is getting VERY light. Koenigsegg is now powering 700+ hp with only 80 or so kg of powerpack. Those are insane numbers. Imagine that if it only had to make 300-400 hp. The hybrid technology is getting exciting rather than boring.

Yes and who knows, they might use it in different ways to allow short zero emissions motoring for city centers etc... Since we don't know everything, we shouldn't despair too much.

IMO Dealers are the source of least trust worthy information regarding up coming cars (strangely).

I think Spy photos offer something, and Google in Italian car sites and German sites, they seem to offer some reliable information.

But then there are prople here on this forum who know more than they are willing to share, I think being careful not to fall out of their privledged standing with Ferrari.
