Yep - Weds 14th just sorted flights today. Always a good day out. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Hopefully Ferrari actually have some drinks this year other than coffee If you are going - I would recommend Lamborghini/Bugatti/Mclaren and Rolls for the best wine and champagne
Will be there the 9th around 7pm as it my local dealer party, then the 14th and 15th around lunch time to meet friends.
I'm going maybe around 14th Feb. I've never been inside the Ferrari stand cause I'm not an owner (yet ) and I've never had the right invitation, do someone of you know if there's a way to get an invitation even if I'm not a consumer?
Speak to your local dealer and he will arrange access for you. You might have to tell him you are looking to buy a car or order a new one!!
That's what I heared too ... therefor we will be in Geneva on the 9th ... Did you get your QR (entrance) code from your F dealer ? (for free )
I’m traveling to Geneva from Texas (3/10-3/16) to take my 8 y/o son to the show and we just purchased auto show tickets for the 12th. How many days does one need to cover the show? Any recommendations of things to do while in Geneva? Is transportation around the city easy etc? Thanks fo any responses. We are excited!
Did the same with my then 9yr old 3 years ago, he loved it, going to be a great spring break trip for both of you. Palexpo where the show is located is connected to GVA airport so just a short walk from the terminal. You can do the show in one day, depending on how thorough you want to be, clearly the F stand will be the highlight (make sure your F dealer sorts out stand invites for you). F stand really nice, but hundreds of ppl try to get in so you need credentials). Try to go during the week as less busy. There is a hall with coachbuilders (Sbarro) & tuners which is rather cool to check out once you have done all the major stands. Unlike some of the other major shows (Paris/Frankfurt) it tends to be a bit less crowded and it is smaller so easier with kids. Link in case you haven't seen the layout. We had flown form London and 10am to 5pm was enough for my little dude. Going to the city from airport is super easy, 20 mins fast train or cab. Once in town, Geneva is small so you can walk around the city center easily. Plenty of cabs around if needed but traffic heavy so best to walk if weather is decent. Geneva is great city I am sure the local Fchatters will have great tips but you need to go and check out the jet d'eau on Lake Geneva. Since you will be on the ground for 5 days, if you are a skier, I would recommend 2 days in GVA and 2-3 days skiing. Lots of great resorts close by: Verbier (2hrs drive), Megeve 1hr, to name a couple. I would have suggested jumping on a plane to Bologna for a factory tour but sadly, kids under 16 are not allowed (believe I tried!), worth it in case you are speccing your next car at the factory Atelier
I would do the city visit on the 11th (old town, jet d’eau, watch museum, little cruise on lake) car show the 12th (one full day is enough and exausting given the crowd) and use the few days after to ski or visit the nearby resorts even if you don’t ski like Chamonix and the Aiguille du midi skyview, Megeve or Verbier and a bit further away Zermatt.
