My Dad had a 2-prong tool he used to replace the worn-out metal spikes on his golf shoes. Tenax has a similar 2-prong tool used to tighten the pull-snap (female) part to the "leather" top convirtable cover.
Well...suddenly I was missing one of the Tenax pull knobs after a top-down run. Little did I know that these Tenax pull-knobs can UNSCREW THEMSELVES and fall off! As luck would have it, the Tenax parts were on the engine grate screen.
Added to my maintenance schedule now is to tighten all Tenax fasteners.

I made my own tool out of a piece of coat hanger wire, I also put a drop of blue loctite on the threads of each one.
Considering that the horsey snaps are difficult to find and expensive to buy when you do find some, this is great advice.

Good to know Alden. I thought about putting a dab of blue goo on the threads, but passed on the idea as it was difficult for me to get the screw thread started due to the thickness of the boot's material. Would have had blue goo everywhere!
My tightening "tool" was my circlip pliers. Worked OK.
