Does anyone have pix of this car - allegedly chassis #06644?

I was told it was yellow/black but the dinoregister does not mention George's name in that chassis' history and shows it as black?

Chassis no 06644 (I believe - can't put my hands on the original source of the chassis no.)

I can tell you that it was/is a yellow black GTS. There is/was a picture of it on the wall in Foskers office near Brands Hatch. It has been sold a few times:
Late 1980s/early 1990s: Panorama Bay had it at various prices.
Brooks offered it at auction on 1990 for £80-£100k but it didn't sell.
Foskers had it at around £80k in 2001 - (see c&sc Jan 2001 p193 for description but no pic) Geoff Fosker told me he'd driven it on a rally to (I think) Switzerland so I'd try an e-mail to Foskers.

f328 nvl, you're absolutely right about the Dino, it was a Giallo Fly / Black 246 Daytona pack (chairs and flares) car, Brooks put it up for auction in early 1990, January I believe, it got as far as 73K. The car was consigned to Gary Davis at Panorama Bay in Bournemouth, I did a deal with Gary and sold it to Derek Roder, he was, I believe a partner in Holdings and Barnes.
    Derek paid GBP114,000.
The paint was very original, the mousehair on the dashboard was typically faded but the car was actually gorgeous.
About 12 months later I believe Derek went through some business issues and the car was offered by the finance company
I saw the Dino about two years later at auction after it had been painted, it made late 40s

Gary had another red Dino GTS with the same Daytona pack but it needed a lot of work

Yes he did although it was a GTs with flares it did not have "chairs".... How do i know? It was 07528 the car i bought from him some 19 years later after he had stored it due to losing a small fortune during the late 90s crash.
Not the most genuine of people by a LONG way but that's another story. I have owned the car some four years now and she is nearing completion.
And you were right about it needing some work!

Having now checked back, the chassis no. is 06598, I suspect that I may be the source of the incorrect early attribution as some of my old auction data got scrambled a while back.

Thankyou for those kind words Tony.... and i have to say your help and imput is certainly not unappreciated.
Also it was great that you turned up in your car looking and running(now) as sweet as a nut.

For those of you interested today i hit a milestone by putting the drivers seat back in and actualy sitting in the car for the first time in approx four years!
My wife came by the garage and gave me a look of pity as i sat there dreaming of the day.....I told her it was a man thing and she wandered off. You guys understand how i felt.

Nice one graham, i can just imagine Lisa doing that as well.

Keep up the good work and hopefully we can get that engine rebuilt and back into the car. Then you can do it for real!!!

By the way, if you want i can record the engine sound for you for more realism!

    See you soon

Hi, I was offered George Harrisons car by Foskers (Brand Hatch UK) when I bought my Dino in 2003. It was in their showroom at the time. They will probably have a record of where it went from there.

For those of you interested, this may bring back some memories...

If you watch the Beatles Anthology DVD's they do some shots at George's house. Behind him there is a giant picture of Senna.

Nice memories but also conclusive proof that John and Paul were the best song writers - "He's a master at going faster", hm, not exactly Eleanor Rigby

It was sold to a new owner in Sussex in July 2003 and, unless it has very recently changed hands is still with him.

Something, All things must Pass, I want to tell you, While my guitar gently weeps, Within you without you, The inner light, I me mine, taxman, Here comes the sun, All those years ago, I me mine, Mind set on you, If I needed someone, When we was Fab, Isn't it a pity, My sweet Lord, Wah-Wah...the list goes on.

George could hold his own. John and Paul had their share of stinkers as well...plus George owned some cool cars! :D

I bought this car from Fosker's in 2003 and still own it. It is chassis no. 06598, chairs 'n' flares, fly yellow/black. It has headlamp cowlings, has been re-trimmed in full leather and has done around 34.5K miles.
Thank you all for your interest in the Dino - whenever I drive it, I can't help smiling. Does anyone know anything about the blue 246 GTS (I think) in the background of the 'Living in the Material World' photo-shoot? Jeff Amos

    John,

I agree, sorta, John and Paul were the best song writing team.
Most days, George had to stay out of their creative ways.
George was a guitar virtuoso, he added to the Beatles in that way.

Then, on his own, we could see the real George.
"My sweet Lord." was he good.

    Edwardo
