I feel like such a poser.... ever since I got a TiVo I stopped looking this stuff up and waking up early. I watch the races at 11am over brunch. I'm such a lame ass F1 fan now.
The advantage to getting up early is that you can log into the F1 site and have the live timing and scoring on your laptop while you watch the race. It lets you track all the positions, and see who is turning fast segments and laps. Interestingly, the broadcast is about a minute or so behind the live statistics, so you know what the announcers are going to say before they say it. (Drives my wife crazy when I play announcer!) It really adds a lot to the race. Give it a try.
This is nothing new for a group of us "regulars" who do it all the time. Typically the Speed coverage lapse is about 5 minutes from live timing. Carol
