Who will win?
Unfortunately not MS I think, ... Kimi and Alonso probably will duke it out again, like they have this whole year... Ferrari is sadly cannot seem to compete with their speed. I am just waiting for the F2006 to kick everybody's butt again.
Hopefully ... I will be saying a few prays in hope that the Mercedes weak link hangs together for him. Ferrari don't have a chance in heck ... every race is just testing miles for them now until 2006. I just want to hear that they have finally learnt something before the end of the season Pete
I'm going for Michael but in the fashion of late, I will cheer for Alonso - if it does rain as predicted, then obviously Michael of course. Downside of the race is CBS coverage - thank goodness Speed has practice and qualifying. We'll be watching the race on the computer live as it promises to be better than listening to the misinformed commentators who appear tape delayed Sunday afternoon. Carol
KR, JPM, FA even Fernando is thinking that the McLarens will be the ones to beat http://f1.racing-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news/detail/050720123710.shtml
Carol you can listen to live coverage of the F1 race using bbc digital radio service. I always mute the TV when watching Speed or CBS. http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/ As for my predictions. Ferrari 1 - 2 !!! Forza Ferrari !!!
Hmm, do we know how good Kimi and Alonso are in rain? I can't remember. Interesting question. I'm siding with Rob: 1) Kimi 2) JPM 3) Alonso Aside from the Mc Larens being fast, both Kimi and JPM are strong in the Motodrom. Would be hard for Alonso to pull out numero SEIS.
Bring on the rain ... the dry spell has been on for far too long. If Raikkonen's car doesn't desert him, he should win the race. Carol, Thanks for the heads-up on CBS coverage. I still can't figure out why CBS chose these races ... it makes no sense to me ... unless perhaps these races have the cheapest broadcasting rights. Imperial .. who are the commentators on BBC radio? Thanks for the link
Maurice Hamilton and he is sometimes joined by guests. A friend of mine just informed me that there is some kind of big cricket event in London this week so BBC radio maybe covering cricket and not F1. So who knows if there will be alternative audio coverage!? Either way, the guys on Speed and CBS are on mute! I would rather listen to the Italian anthem on repeat than those fools!
I have been asking myself the same question. My guess: They want to make F1 more popular in the US, so you pick races that people wouldn't be watching already (Monaco, Sao Paulo, Montreal) and you choose some that are lesser known and would be broadcasted at an early hour. Yes, there is a big cricket thing going on in London this weekend. My biggest fear in the US: Local CBS affiliate decides that the local 3k walk around the park is more interesting than the F1 GP.
Ok I just figured out what you guys are saying. I am slow! The CBS coverage is at 12:00pm ET. It is not live coverage. tifosi12 I know you speak German. You should look into getting a satellite dish the can receive the German channel RTL. The only problem with them is that there is a lot of commercials during live F1. But they have a fantastic pre and post coverage with Niki Lauda. Schumacher always gives them a 5 minute post race interview for his German fans. There is an option of ITV UK and TSN Canada through satellite too. My friend gets TSN Canada and I guess that is where I am spending the weekend. Their live race coverage starts at 7:30 am ET on Sunday and they piggy back off of ITV UK coverage. The digital BBC radio coverage will also be live so it will not make any sense to turn that on at 12:00pm ET. I am glad I got figured out before the weekend and confused everyone else in the process.
I have watched races on RTL and it seemed to have a lot less commercials than Speed. Their commentator is a bit of a nutcase, he is the guy running around in a jumpsuit looking like a driver (why I dunno). You're right about the pre and post coverage. My problem is I cannot technically mount a dish in my place. Oh well. PS: Nothing beats ITV.
Does any over here can send any link or make and send me any videos of the race? I'm working on board a cruise ship and I cant see the Qual or practice... e-mail [email protected]
