Looks like the grid has changed a bit since yesterday. Albers goes to 21st (engine change); Trulli to 20th (engine change); Yamamoto to 22nd (qualified in old car then switched to new SA06 for race). I really don't think this is going to be a major factor in the race.

Update for Proximus 24 Hours of Spa - MC12 back in first (been switching with the Aston); #58 (Salo, et al) F430 in 7th (-24); #59 (Melo, et al) F430 in 8th (-25); #62 Scuderia Ecosse 430 in 9th (-36); #63 Scuderia Ecosse in 17th (-61). Approximately 2 hr 40 min remaining.

Lots of good racing taking place today. I'll definitely watch the Rolex race today and be more observant of the type of driving displayed by the Lowe's car since Fernandez will be running in ALMS next year.

Hoping for a Ferrari 1-2 today - we'll know in just over 30 minutes how it will all play out . . .

Where are you getting the updates for Spa? (Good morning, by the way). I have no t.v. accessibility to the race.

I'm starting to get the feeling that Renault is going to move up the grid...Raikkonen was light, but it looks like many others were also. I wish they could actually show race pace that would put them in between Ferrari and Renault.

    We'll see what happens...

    Quiet again this morning.

Good start so far. Looks like the Bridgestones have caught up to the Ferraris capability.

I thought it was "tradition" that home teams always seemed to do well at their home race. What's up with BMW and McLaren?

And Barichello catching up to Alonso? Is Alonso running on full fuel? Almost like an entirely new season seems to have started. And Button passing Alsonso after his pitstop?

Barichello won't be catching up to anyone with his car on fire...

I think Michelin may have mailed it in for the season. It's obvious that Bridgestone has improved.

FA actually is behind Webber, who started 11th? I am starting to wonder about his commitment to the WDC when you see Fisi in front of him. McLaren is a shadow of its former self...Kimi's race is a disaster once again. I knew he was light on fuel, but a 4-stop strategy won't do anything for him.

Agreed, it was clear when Michelin didn't show up with competitve tiresat Indy that they were ratcheting back the budget.

It's an 11-pt gap with 6 races to go. If MS finishes first and FA second every race, MS wins. At this point, I think MS's scenario looks more likely than FA's...Michelin should be cited for failure-to-appear. Now the testing ban is in place through the end of August (?), so things aren't going to change anytime soon.

As far as the constructor's championship is concerned, the prospects are even better for Ferrari.

Based on that podium celebration, I don't think we'll see Kimi at Ferrari next year. It looks like Schumaker/Massa for another year to my untrained eye.

They sure looked comfortable with each other. I was surprised MS put his arm around him. Another great victory for Ferrari and now 11 points needed to take over the championship.

    Well done Ferrari.
    Special kudos for Massa.

Now if we can only get rid of those heinous Bridgestone 'wheel goes round' commercials.

Have you heard the team radio after the finish? Schumacher praised the team and especially Massa. I hope we'll see him next year again together with Schumacher. He's good.

From now on, I really start believing in the chances of Ferrari to win the WC. Renault seems to be affected by their prohibited dampers and with the upcoming banning of testing, the future looks very bright. Bridgestone tyres are better too and with the next race in Hungary, it could be very close. Ferrari did well there over the past few years... :)

11 points to Alonso, 10 to Renault.

    Go Ferrari!

Don't know how that's gonna be possible with him in Spa! Rolex qualifying shows her with Beretta starting in 11 out of 25. Marino was one of the drivers in the #59 F430 that took 6th overall, 1st in class at Spa. Good showing for 1/2 of the F430's entered . . 6th ,7th, 9th and 13th overall in a really great race. The MC12 ended up winning with the Aston being 1 lap down. That's racing at it's best when after 24 hours and especially at Spa you have cars finishing like they did.

Congratulations to Ferrari - Chris Dyer said it all on the radio to Michael while he was savoring the win driving around the track! Great drive by Massa too.

I stand strong that Ferrari next year will be Michael and Felipe.

    ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Ferrari is doing a good job or everyone else is incompetent, I think its a mixture. BUT the end result is just plain boring. No racing at all. F1 is in trouble, even the stands were empty at that hacked up track. On to the hungaroring the most boring track in the world instead of spa or the osterreichring.
