It may be fun to post a pic of your holiday meal (Keeping in mind those that may not have such plentiful bounties). My girlfriend will be cooking both nights and I plan on posting a pic or two. Xmas eve will be roasted game hens on a bed of polenta. Xmas dinner will include a lobster bisque soup and roast prime rib...DES...Wanna come over?

This Christmas we will be having a honey baked ham and goose, I think. It will be a change from last year, when we got snowed in at my country house and had to eat chinese take-out, lol.

I'm headed to my sister's for Christmas Eve, we are having prime rib. On Christmas my Italian mother is cooking lasagna, meatballs and sausage in her homemade gravy and she is also making what we call Italian wedding soup.MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Now I just have to get down there!

LesterM...I did a goose last year! Way yummy! I made a currant berry / port wine reduction sauce for it and the meal was awesome. Getting away from a turkey is a nice touch, but a smoke turkey is always top-notch.

We always do the traditional Italian Christmas Eve with the Feast of the Seven Fish. I'll try and take a shot or two if I can still stand. (I usually indulge in the Feast of the Seven Bottles of Wine). :)

Well, at least until the smell draws you so close to the frying pan. The next thing you know you have grease flying at your face and your olefactory receptors are gone...

Christmas Eve: Lemmon rubbed sage game hen on a bed of creamy polenta and tomato porcini sauce with peas steamed in Italian pancetta bacon with a salad of field greens with sun-dried tomato vinagrette with carmelized inions.

I dont have a picture, but we ate a traditional italian xmas eve dinner with family and famiy friends, 16 in all. We had salad (which is odd, usually italians serve this last), seafood salad, some egg plant dish, linguine with clam sauce, fried smelt, herring and calamari, brocali rabe, bakala (italian cod dish, i think), and then lot of desert.

Im looking forward to tomorrows dinner. I think we are having a ham.

Sing it like the "Big Mac" jingle.
Q: Jack Lemmon? I thought he died.

Darth - enjoy the proper dessert. Looks tasty.

Having Turkey, Gumbo (supposed to be a surprise, but my gal's sis doesn't know I that know she's making it for me - muahahaha - I love gumbo) and a bunch of Soul Food. Spicy!
