    Hey guys, I 'm looking at a 348 and I'm getting a ppi done at Auto Elite and was wondering If any one knows of this place thanks in advance.

    hey thanks alot. I spoke with him today he sounds like a nice guy.I think he said to me that he didn't think that I needed a compression test but after thinking about it I think I'm gonna suggest it again in the morning. The guy is sopposed to bring the car to him tomorrow at 10:30.I 'm gonna give him a call and go over some things with him.The car by the way is a 90 348 red/ten with 30k on it. The owner has proof of the 30k service form ferrari of long island so I guess we'll go from there

    DO A FULL PPI, LEAK DOWN AND COMPRESSION TEST

    A WELL SPENT 400.00......


    FIND OUT HOW MANY OWNERS THERE WERE AND PRESENT US WITH A VIN#

    OUR FCHATT BROTHERS HERE ARE BETTER THAN DETECTIVES

    Hey I just thought of that.I will get the vin tomorrow.The owner told me he is the third owner.I'm glad that I can trust vinny to do the right thing.I totally agree with you.The money spent on a thorough inspection is worth it without question. I 'm not sure why he suggested that I don't do it . I was originally going to bring the car to Brain at Ind motors but he went to the Cavalino show in fl.He told me he was going to do a compressiom test. Maybe vinny thinks I'm trying to save money but that don't concern me as getting a good sound car thanks I appreciate your opinion

    AT 30K MILES, YOU MUST MAKE SURE ALL VALVES AND CYLINDERS ARE UP TO SPECK...

    IF YOU GET LOW READINGS, CHANCES ARE THE ENGINE NEEDS WORK AND YOU DONT WANT TO GO THAT ROUTE...$$$$$$$$

    BTW, JUST CURIOUS, WHY THE 348 ??? WHAT WAS YOUR TOP$$$ YOU WANTED TO SPEND FOR A F CAR??

    I always loved the 348 as a kid (I'm 36). I have a budget of about 45k. I don't want to finance and I'm not wealthy.I thought of the 355 but from what I heard from some people its not necessarily worth the premium over the 348, although I'm probably starting another one of those 348/355 arguments again

    Thanks, If everthing works out I'll post tomorrow.I appreciate all your help that recomendation of the shop is a load off my mind
