For some reason my 246 GT has Dino logos on three of the wheel center covers and a prancing horse on the other.

I have a Dino logo cap to put on the errant one, but I'm fearful of damaging the wheel cover getting that horse off of there.

    Anyone know the correct technique?

I assume I glue on the new one with epoxy. Correct?

I used silicone to attach mine. The old ones just pried off, they were not attached all that securely.

I wrapped a rag around the shaft of a flat head screwdrive to keep from scratching the chrome lip, and then just popped the old ones off.

Cleaned the surface to be glued on with acetone, and then attached the new Dino emblems.

I have an old one around somewhere if you'd like one that matches you other old ones.

make sure the dino cap is the same style as the originals. the modern version is enamel on a metal base. this is incorrect. the original should be a very light weight piece of plastic. also make sure the colors are correct. there are two versions, yellow with blue script and yellow with a blackish red script.

    Dave,

The three on my car were there when I got it in '87 and have the blue script. The one I was going to put on I got about 15 years ago and was light plastic with blue script.

The cap sat on a certain shelf in my study until about a year ago, when I "cleaned things up a bit." I spent about an hour looking today and can't find it or the Dino GT script that used to sit by it anywhere.

So I may in fact need to take you up on your offer unless some lightbulb goes off and I remember what "special, safe" place I put it. :)
