Do yourself a favor and keep the switch on the steering wheel in "Sport" mode. Sport mode enables all sorts of magical electronics which will keep you and your career pointed in the right direction

Oh dude... definitely have fun, but this is not the sort of car to do a lot of experimenting in. You'll have nearly 500HP behind your seat. Respect it or it'll spank you.

There are 5 settings on the steering wheel.

Snow/Ice: You'll likely not need this
Rain: Likewise, hopefully you get a clear day
Sport: Recommended, highly. You can have fun all day in this mode and never need anything more, ever.
Race: Not recommended as this setting dials back the computer-aided traction control... for both acceleration and braking.
CST(off): You really (really) should not use this setting. This shuts off all traction control aids and those 500 horses behind the rear seat will do everything in their power to kill you.

Like Mitty said... drive it as if you'd just spent a quarter-mill on a car. If you give it back to him (with a full tank) maybe he'll let you borrow it again.

If it is like the engine in the 360, you have to warm up the oil by driving it for about 10 minutes below 3000 rpms. If you tell your boss that you did that...I am sure he/she will be impressed that you took good care of the car. If this is not the same for the 430...I am sure someone will speak up.

This is true for any engine -- you should always let the oil get up to temperature before wringing its neck. BMW M5, for example, has a variable RPM redline that starts at 4000rpm when cold and gradually increases until the temp comes up to normal.

 

It is *especially* true of any high-performance engine.

 

drive it to another state and then drive back. i'm sure u'd enjoy it. u must be lucky to have that sorta boss
