Back in the early 70-ies, a stunning front-engined model was shown in, I think, Paris. I have no idea if it was a fully functional automobile, but if, does anyone know what has become of it, or have pics of it?

I remember reading about it, I think it was displayed in Turin or Geneva in the 70's and then exported to Ford in the US. Looked like a Maserati Indy/Khamsin kinda cross. I know it was built on longer chassis, from the Deauville. Will see if I can dig out any info.

It would be quite surprising if indeed they built it on a Deauville platform; that has the same measurements as an XJ jag. It would make more sense if they used the shorter Lonchamps chassis, but that car didn't exist at the time, or did it? In any case, they are pretty identical apart from the latter being somewhat shorter. Wish I still had my Deauville, with 330HP Pantera engine, great car.

    Great, thanks for posting those.

Somehow disappointing, it doesn't appeal to me as much when I saw them when current. Still a pretty car, but not that spectacular.

Who was the designer, Tjaarda or Giugiaro?? It looks very Giugiaro to me.

Looks just like a Maserati Ghilbli, only taller.
