    Here we go again.

My car, a february 1967, doesn't have them at all (I mean the front side blinkers). After having scratched the paint, there are no holes to accomodate them on the front end.
That's even more strange as mine was an U.S. spec car (Smiths gauges and m.p.h. speedometer).
Of course I won't drill the metal to make something which was not originally there, but I wonder if you have seen something like that before.

I use to own #054 which according to Cozza was the 20th Ghibli made and the 3rd to enter the USA. That car had front side blinkers but not in the rear. It is very possible that your car never had them.

It is also possible that cars may differ based on the year of incorporation of new legislation.

For example, early US Meraks (up to 1974) have different bumpers (pointy bumper) from later US Meraks (full sized bumper).

Was it even possible for someone to ignore the law and order a car with EU specifications?

True but Francesco was asking about a US spec Ghibli built in 1967. My answer was specific to his question since #054 is also a US spec car built in 1967.

Incidentally I have still found no trace of side markers or evidence of holes on my later 68 car and I've had a really good look tonight :)
