GIANT F CHAT MEET ????????

I will volunteer Cincinnati Ohio as the meeting place... (that way I don't have to drive - due to the amount of drinking that will probably happen...)

Or we could do 3 simultaneously and have them broadcast - one on the west coast, one in the midwest and one on the east coast... If we had enough people we could get media coverage, etc...

However I am weary of having Ryan (LAfun) over - last time he saw a pic of my house he made a few too many comments - and I am afraid he may not leave

Quite a few people from SoCal get together for Crystal Cove and various drives. Monterey last year was a pretty big get together, I met a ton of people from all over the country. That thing in New Orleans was pretty damn big, I wasn't there but I'm sure Carbo could give us some details. Then there was the Rampage just last month. The giant FChat get togethers are already happening, you just haven't been showing up......

On a smaller scale we used to have conference calls every night...... my schedule kept me out of it for a while but things are finally easing up a bit. If anybody wants, PM me your number and we can dial up a few folks.

 

Your idea is a good one, but it will NEVER EVER happen.

All you need is an event that would draw a large number of users and then organize an Fchat gathering to motivate those folks who wouldn't otherwise attend. We had a pretty good band of FC'ers running around Monterey last year and, in my estimation, other than the Friday night dinner there wasn't much coordination among the various factions. Then there was the Scuderia Rampage which was generated independently of any outside event yet it drew a pretty good crowd of people to Vegas for the weekend. Now if you organize an event for FC'ers like the Rampage in conjunction with the Monterey weekend I think you could have a pretty good show.

 

I'll be in Vegas the 17th-19th @ Mandalay Bay next month, with the connections in full force.

My good friend also lives in Manhattan, but I have yet to find a good excuse to crash at his place yet.. An FChat meet might be an excellent reason to do so (provided I can bring my non-enhanced girlfriend to the party- she rocks, no need to worry).

I can round you up about 6 of the PA-NJ folks. Everytime we try to put one of these things together, most of them call out sick, or are just plain old too weenie-fied by their spouses to be ALLOWED TO ATTEND.

Reading had maybe a dozen f-chat folks there, and Brandon's car show had about the same number.

We can shoot for that from the local yokels.

Don't forget to bring your lovely, recently re-equipped spouse. That may improve the odds of getting some of our more disturbed folks to attend.

I hosted an F Chat Meeting an golf event at my golf course about 2 years ago.

It was a decent showing 15 maybe including Rob Lay flying in. Last year I offered to do another Larger one and there was no interest. I for one would be interested.

 

How about my "Wings and Wheels" car show? Fighter jets and Ferraris....how can you go wrong??

You have seen the pics of the Scuderia Rampage? I understand that there were almost 200 people there -- and that all happened because PimpDaddy said "Y'all come on!" (and he worked his butt off behind the scenes)

Pick a place and a time and say "come on down!" If it's a good time, the next year will be bigger, etc. etc.
