Hi Gil, Took some pics of it Saturday for you. Regards, Carl. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
You really should get out of Toorak one day. I ventured out Saturday and went to Phillip Island. Nice to back though, so I can talk to you lot. (Of plebs) Carl.
I only saw it run in one of the practice sessions on Friday. It ran all weekend last year in its allotted class which was a combination of open wheelers and sports cars. This year it was to race in a class which consisted entirely of open wheelers.
Pretty much, although there were supposed to be a couple of same era F1 cars competing with the Ferrari.
On paper by all accounts it should be able to whip the field. However, the format of the event doesn't really favour the Ferrari as it always seems to take awhile to get up to speed and by the time it starts to show its potential the race is over. Last year it was competing with a couple of Porsche 935 K3s which would always seem to be quicker in the opening laps and overtake the Ferrari but by the end the Ferrari was lapping several seconds quicker.
Hasn't aero come a hell of a long way since then. It looks like a block of flats in the last shot posted.
F1 cars are very difficult to drive on cold tyres and it takes a lot of skill/talent to drive them hard enough to warm up the tyres quickly without spinning off... catch 22 for most drivers. Give it to professional racing driver or better yet an actual F1 driver and he'd be up to speed in 2 laps.
are there any doctors in the house? i'm not sure diagnosing someone over the internet as "he's a gonna" is good medical advice
Dr Feelgood at your service! Got the rubber gloves too. PS Gonna sounds suspiciously like an abbreviation of a venerial desease.
