    The first Giovanni's sports & exotic car gathering is coming up this Saturday, 1/20, at Giovanni's Italian Restaurant on Peachtree Pkwy in Johns Creek. 3 PM is the usual starting time for winter. No fees, no judging, just good fun. Bring the family and the camera! Featured marque this month is Lotus. But if you have any other sports or exotic car, just come and enjoy.

    Not a bad turnout for a chilly day, at least of Ferraris: 9 were there, covering all the V-8 two-seaters from the 308 to F430. Even the uncommon sight of a 360 and F430, both in Giallo Modena, nose-to-tail.

    Otherwise? Only 2 Lotuses, but such niceties as Rick Russo's new Cadillac XLR, a couple of Datsun 240Z's, Superformance's GT Mark II (and a Cobra) and Beck's "knobbly" Lister.

    Photos? When I get my Internet service hooked up on my new computer, which probably won't happen until after the Cavallino Classic. Good things come to those who wait......

    I'm glad I finally made it out to an event! Nice showing! It was nice to meet everyone that day - Alan, Eric, Brian, Jim, Andy, Jerry, Frank, Mike, and anyone else I may have missed. Hope to see everyone again.

    Next time I will try to encourage my friends to come out. They should contribute a CS, and a Porsche 356 B roadster.
