Wish I could, I'll be in Indianapolis tomorrow through Tuesday where it will be 1 below 0, with -20 wind chills. I'm not a huge fan of being cold.

I will be there, my lotus is running good.

also picked up a new Acura TL yesterday. it has a 6 speed manual, traction control, Navigation system, Brembo's, sun roof, CD etc..

This is one fast car... and, its got a 100 k mile warranty. I havent had a car with a warranty in years..

this Acura is fast as stink.. Brembo's ? that what I asked too and the manual 6 speed package includes Brembo's.. black brembo's..

    I love this car.

I too am thinking about going with a Japanese car as a daily driver when my M5 lease is up...I am leaning toward the Mitsubishi Evo right now...

Frank, I would strongly suggest the Acura TL. if you can find one with the 6 speed manual, its a freaking rocket. there are 2 in FL and one in MN but they are rare.

this thing will launch.. if the traction control if off it will spin the tires in 1st and 2nd. the 3.2 liter V 6 is a high revving beast..

I dont know anything about the Evo, but this TL is a bullet.

I can't believe you haven't heard of the Evo...it too is AWD with 286hp and does 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 13.5 seconds...Brembo brakes...Recaro seats...six speed..the works...not bad for a 2 liter 4 cylinder turbo engine...I do suspect the Acura is a little more luxurious though.http://autos.yahoo.com/mitsubishi_lancer_evolution_mr_edition-performance/

Brian......congrats! I've mostly seen the TL's with an Auto, and the Brembo's probably look cool on the car. What color is it?

(Sounds like a little road trip may be in order). I know we're gonna head out Sunday morning for some b'fast and a ride up to the mts.

    Frank,
I am about to find myself in a Subaru, but you have to go with the EVO. There are not many around and they are a real real neat car.

    cooool.

my TL is black on black . it pulls like a freight train. that little 3.2 has some torque.

the Mazda's and Suburu's are very cool.

One of my concerns is with treatment I will get with service...with my M5 all service is free for first 50k miles and I just drop my M5 off at United BMW and drive away in a BMW loaner at no charge until the service is complete..each time with no questions asked...with an EVO I suspect I will only get a loaner car with warranty work and I will have to pay for service...

hey Bob. man, I aabsolutely LOVE your new Porsche. that is ONE cool car.

I am not sure whats on the schedule for a drive in March. I might be going to Mexico City for the Nextel cup race. we are trying to secure sponsorship from a Mexican beer company for the race but thats still somewhat up in the air. They want to sponsor us and the bid is for 100 grand for the weekend. if that happens then I will have to run down for the race.

other than that I think March is open. a drive would be fun.

I am not sure if Mick has anything planned for March. He does want to do a caravan to Amelia Island for the show in April.

Amelia Island, that sounds like a good idea. I've always wanted to go, maybe this year will be the one.

Considering the cold, not a bad turnout. A few highlights:

--For a change, the "featured marque" showed up, as Porsches outnumbered all the rest. A nice mix of 996s and 997s, both turbo and non. Bob, your "new" Carrera 4S is stunning!

--A Panoz Esperante and a Triumph TR4, both real neat cars. And the Superformance GT and Martin's 240Z are becoming regulars.

--Some Atlanta Falcons who brought their exotics. I chatted with DeAngelo Hall (Lambo Gallardo spider) and Michael Jenkins (BMW M6). Who was that with the Porsche turbo?

I still have to get my new computer up and running, with an Internet connection, before I can upload the images from my Rebel XTi. Hopefully in a week or so? Sorry for the delay.
