I agree, but still, the chances are very slim and for us poor people, IT'S a $100 bill. :( LOL

...seriously though, good idea. $150k for a Gallardo, not bad.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to hold a lottery like this without licenses/permits/gov't approval.

might be worth the gamble and buy $50k worth in tickets...if the purchase of the tickets can be considered a charitable donation.

How about giving the G-car directly to a kid? Say, me. Hehe just kidding. I think $1000 is better honestly

I agree. I can donate 100 dollars to charity, but 1000 would hurt :(

You could probably sell the majority of tickets on the Lambo forums you belong to....$100 would bring more people to the plate, make it a bi-monthly donation:cool:

So I've been lurking here for a while now reading stories about you guys and your lambos. I must admit my daily dose of G Cars, Murcies and Diablos is really an inspiration for me to keep working hard and keeps pushing me to hopefully one day being able to afford one.

Roy, your idea is fantastic . Just to give you some info, have you seen http://www.bestofthebest.co.uk here in the UK ?

So, for 100 dollars you would have a 1/1500 chance of winning a 2004 Gallardo.

It's a nice idea, but it's 15,000 dollars to the charity. Who is eating the $100k+ difference between the value of the car and the proceeds from the raffle? Why not just sell the car to someone and give the $130k to the charity?

Maybe I'm missing something. I just don't get it. Kind thought regardless.

Yeah, those numbers just don't add up. Something is not right with this raffle. Probably a scam. I think you should sell me your tickets at half price, which would be $10. Deal? :)

I don't believe this is a good idea because the winner might not be able to afford maintainence, insurance, etc etc..

Then that's their problem and they can sell the car to me for double the price of their ticket. :D

What happens if you don't sell all of the tickets by the time the winner is to be drawn? Probably unlikely, but you need to dwell in the unlikely in these circumstances.

PM me when you get the details sorted...I may have a C note burning a hole in my pocket. Hell, I buy $100 dollar tickets every year for a Corvette in a fund raiser for my former High School and they sell 1,000 tickets.
