Ferrari 355 | eBay ZFFXR48A6V0106468 http://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistory/p/Report.cfx?partner=ACN_0&vin=ZFFXR48A6V0106468 Accident? really?not reported?
It looks like there is something wrong with the front end. Why doesn't the A/C unit sit flush with the trunk liner? Also, the body gap at the front of the hood seems off.
Yeah, funny they don't mention the ac thing. You can see someone has been trying to pry the top part up and have it part way up and have broke it in several places. You can see the metal trim piece sitting in the truck in the one picture.
This car is worth 180. I will fix the ac and hood gap issue it can't kill thevalue by 140k. Let's get on it !??
This is about where I put my car if I wanted to sell it. My spider looks great everything works. No sticky parts, guides are good. Tubi new hyper-flows. But it has over 40k on it and carfax shows minor accident. It doesn't need a belt service for a cpl years but if wanted to sell it now I would have to get it done. Even with a fresh service $45k. Is most it would go for. I like driving it but everytime Ido it depreciates more. If I do ring 70k miles it will most likely be a $35k car. I didn't see if this car had a belt service recently so the buyer should get one shortly after purchase. Now he's $55k into a car that still needs work when he could buy another one without a accident for that much. It's priced right I think maybe even a little high
Could be wrong but a prior hard front end is noticeable. The EVAP unit does not stick out like that for no reason. The passenger airbag seems to have been recovered at some point and given the front end gaps, I say " its been hit hard enough in the front, maybe the bottom front. If I am wrong, the front carpets are messed up and are hanging loose, thus making us think the AC unit is sticking out.
Buy it for $40k daily drive it for 5 years. Don't do anything other than change the oil and make sure the headers aren't leaking. Sell it for $30k and smile at how cheap it was to DD a 355 for 5 years. Someone should do it. I would if I could but my wife would place some serious objections to having a second F355.
I think of how much people blow on new cars over a 5 year period and this just screams for someone to do it. Spending $40k on a loaded up entry level BMW would cost you WAY more in depreciation and maintenance over the same time period.
The Carfax report answers the question on price. CARFAX Vehicle History Report for this 1997 FERRARI F355 SPIDER: ZFFXR48A6V0106468 Damage Report Accident reported It hit a median barrier Minor to moderate left rear damage reported Airbags did not deploy The date of this accident was not reported to CARFAX, but it likely occurred between Jan. 2010 and Mar. 2010.
Accident is no big deal. Its still way below the 15% discount that the industry uses for a dinged carfax.
Take a look at the pictures...This car is a joke!!!..Look under the hood there is paint everywhere..and no black areas on the panels like the car was made..This is A Ferrari? who painted this Earl or Macco?...I cant believe someone bought this car..its a good thing they offer 7 day money back because I have a feeling who ever bought it will want their money back
take a closer look it is overspray..I thought it might have been reflections at first as well, but no
Hard to tell if that is over-spray or reflections. The light booth they are using for those pictures throws a lot of reflections around. But it certainly could be over-spray. More directly, that top was replaced and it was done very poorly. Look at the wrinkles in the back.
take a look at the calipers as well...Great paint work..Lol.. what color red is that anyway??..I cant believe this!!
That is not overspray. If you look at the oval shaped indented part of the hood when viewed from the drivers side there is red tinge in that area on the passenger side of the car and none on drivers side. When viewed from the passenger side there is red tinge on the drivers side, but none on passenger side...a reflection or maybe some sort of shape shifting overspray phenomenon I'm unaware of. I don't know the car or have any affiliation with it, but if I were the seller I'd be pissed that a bunch of arm chair internet Perry Mason/CSI types throw around assumptions about the car based on some pictures they saw "on the internet" Yes, overspray on the calipers...
Lmao this is like how all the "experts" critiqued my car. Fact of the matter is who cares if the car has overspray. Its a 45k car. Not 70. I'm sure for all that savings you can fix those defects mentioned. Its really not a big deal but ocd will find a flaw with anything because that's how they are conditioned.
I hear you... My car shows a minor accident on its carfax. People stay away like I found it in Chernobyl (I have actually been there lol) But my car isnt a show car I drive it...its solid everything works right...even the top before I switched to manual. I would hate to try and sell it and have people bagging it online...Mine with 42k on it is better than a low mileage one in a lot of ways..
