Dear Comrades, I have intentionally missed the Enzo from this selection as I feel quite confident that anyone who has done their brains in on one of those is likely to have more than sufficient left over to acquire a Rolls. That is, if they do not possess one already So the question is, would you prefer a Rolls Rolls Phantom (Saloon or Convertible) or would you go for a 288 GTO, F-40 or F-50? With kind regards, 512 Tea Are
Id go for an F50 . Have been drooling over them for the past year , more so than an F40 ..plus i have never driven one .
Dear Comrade amenasce, Have you considered that the Rolls Royce is likely to be a little quieter and the convertible also has an electric hood (soft top). With kind regards, 512 Tea Are
Well I assume that the question assumes we can only have one car. In that case I would take the 288GTO. F40 and F50 would not be the easiest cars to live with. Rolls Royce would be simply wonderful but cant really take it to a track day or a sporting sunday drive. 288GTO for me.
Dear Comrade 512Tea Are, Out of curiosity, does this poll coincide with your keen insight into the lottery jackpot numbers and a subsequent plan hatching as a result? Should you win and find yourself at a loss for ideas, you may send a gift across the pond if you wish. I would, of course, take the F50. With kind regards, Matt
I'd have to go with the F40... I'm a huge fan of the design and the power is amazing. Not to mention... "A little more than a year ago I expressed a wish to my engineers," an 89-year-old Enzo Ferrari said in the summer of 1987. Listening closely to his every word was the automotive media, all having journeyed o Maranello for the introduction of a new model. "Build a car to be the best in the world. And now that car is here." If I ever buy an F40, I'll be sure to put those exact words on the walls of my garage. That sentence alone takes the breath right out of my mouth.
Rolls? In the same breath, on the same page, and even a consideration against the elite from Ferrari's esteemed stable?? Blasphemy!!
With all due respect, no self-respecting sports car enthusiast would even bother farting in the driver's seat of a Phantom. I would rather drive a Porsche CaymanS than a Phantom. It would be a different story if I'm not driving. Of the cars you mentioned, I would go with the F40.
Dear Comrades, I thought this to be a quite excellent post from our teenage comrade in Quebec. I am thinking that this young gentleman will most certainly become the proud custodian of an F-40 one day. Bravo! With kind regards, 512 Tea Are
