Check in here. If we get ten, we can make a reservation. $45- Three practices. ~7pm? So far, Rich Dan Alex Vic Rick {?} S4's only rule has been thrown out.
In like Flynn in the city of sin, the Vegas Wynn, with a big bottle of gin, showing some skin, before im trashed booting into a garbage bin and my head feels like a pin. --Dan
I just remembered I had a dinner on the 27th. Geez...this blows! Looks like I'll be missing this one again.
i'm down to roll. redhead, are you the same guy with the irvine helmet? if so, i think i've spoken with you at gkr a few times. my 'listed name' @ gkr is eduardo antonio oledan, but i go as dino. last week i was there they spilled gas on me @ race 1, then race #3 was traffic for a good 3-4 laps. Was refunded, but all the other times were good.
Same boat as Alex - got relatives from out of town / have dinner duty. Have really been wanting to check out GKR or LMK (Fremont) - guess I'll just have to try for next/another time... Have fun!
back in the bay for a few years, same old stuff but replaced school with work lol. see you all there -Dino
Rich- I'm in. (And beware!! I've been on a crash diet and now weigh... Ummm.. A lot less than I did!! In my imagination at least!! Yes, that would be the same imagination that sees me blowing past you like you are standing still. Alas we can dream can't we??) Keep me in the loop- I'll be there with bells on. (The better to allow you to follow me around!!) Cheers, dce
So, as we stand: Rich (with the irvine helmet ) Dan Vic Nizam Zamani Dino Slow Poke (DCE) Maybe one or two of Rich's friends as well. Oh,and merry holiday to everyone, and Happy Christmas too.
This place is in Burlingame, right? I'm going to drive from Sunnyvale taking 101. Can we make it later (8pm) so carpool would be open by then?
Alexnader: any later and the kitchens close. We have a tradition of going to an Irish Pub immediately afterwards. Nizam: Zamani from Almaden? Kids went to Harker (Allison and I don't recall the other?), etc? --Dan
I see. Well, I'll have to leave earlier then. So, we arrive at 6pm and the session would start half-hour after that? BTW, last (and first) time I was at GKR we had company team building event and afterwards we had dinner at Steelhead brewery. Nice places both.
No, not that Zamani. He only has the one son at the moment. I'll try to get there a bit early to get him his GKR license and orientation. Rich, cash up front, upon arrival I take it?
I will call GKR tommorow and see how they want to handle the money issues. They are closed all day today for some reason.... May I suggest to anyone drivng from the south bay to take 280, all the way to 380 and then back down to Milbrae Ave. 101 is a nightmare going northbound. Rich Dan Vic Nizam Zamani Dino David Alexnander Chirs B btw,if we choose to meet there by 7pm, then means we would start racing hopfully by 7.30. Once again, I will get this sorted tommorow and post the exact times.
If you take 280 to 380E, then 101 South, Millbrae Avenue will be the first exit. You can stay in the exit lane (generally clear), and then make the right onto Millbrae. 2nd light if a left on Rollins, at which you'll make the immediate left onto Adrian. Follow Adrian about 2 miles down (it's the frontage road) and GRK will be a big yellow building on the right. --Dan
This sounds better. I guesss, I can leave work (wich is close to 101 at N. Mathilda) early and drive from home instead. That will make 280 route logical choice. So, it looks like we need just one more racer to make it 10.
I won't be able to join the race, but will be able to make the dinner after. Where will you guys be for dinner?
Alex: hopefully we'll end up at Finn McCool's in Millbrae (just north of GKR off of el Camino on the Fook Yuen (west) side. North of the large Hong Kong Flower Lounge (I don't remember where the small one is). The backup plan, of course, is Max's on the otherside of the freeway. --Dan
