I love his blue carbon CS 003- but I have to wonder if there were issues actually getting them production ready. Jim claimed quite a few sales when it was released, but it seems none of them were actually made. In regards to 004s, I have the same production concerns. Their last post about production was a month and a half ago, which considering how frequent they were prior to that point is concerning.
was a don quixote project from the start but the (pretty successful) lemans effort might have taken some of their attention off the road cars. wish them all the luck but old saying of how to make millions in car biz is to start with billions might hold true here again. criticize all you want but tesla is so incredible.
wow, never would expect to see Jim let this one go. ....... probably burning thru millions between racing and car production. (too many models all at once before many sold/shipped?) 1967 Ferrari 412P #0854 https://www.bonhams.com/auction/28011/preview-lot/5733324/1967-ferrari-412p-berlinetta-chassis-no-0854-engine-no-0854/ Image Unavailable, Please Login .
No. Even though he initially claimed the gold car was the “first delivery”. To my knowledge, no road leagal glickehaus has been delivered to anyone not affiliated with the company, ever. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Lost me at the ridiculous side pipes---Clenet ish..also, the design is 60's Ferrari- or Intermecchnica--Jim can do better than this
just read they are dropping out of lemans series for next year. is company in trouble? hope they can get some street cars sold.
Dropping out of all racing from next year onwards (WEC, IMSA etc) lack of sponsorship is one of the main reasons
Oh boy not a good sign. Hope they make it. Always come back to quote best way to make millions in car biz is to start w billions
It's not easy at all. Very few do it correctly. Need a big cash flowing business to keep it running smoothly without stress. Penske, Redbull, etc all good models. Also "racing into" a Global Econ downturn is very hard to find sponsorship. Companies all pull back marketing budgets as you well know during these times. Cool he tried though and maybe he pulls something off.
2023 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 10-11) ......... 3rd year for Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus gearbox change put them a lap down from the start . So, this is a Jan.'24 blog from Karenable - "SCG 004 Update" https://karenable.com/scg-update/ and here is a very telling comment/reply from Jim : Image Unavailable, Please Login > sooo, the bottom line is, if you ever think about building a fully road legal vehicle, DON'T!!! > Seems to be a very looong and expensive process. > He is very close to the finish. I think if he was going to quit the project, he would have by now. .
