    Mar 18 '24 - SCG 004S: development ramps up for three-seat supercar
    https://www.evo.co.uk/supercars/20376/scuderia-cameron-glickenhaus-004s-development-ramps-up-for-three-seat-supercar

I had not heard of this. (or don't recall): o_O

"One of the most massive changes we made and the one that took so much additional time and money was stretching the car 4 inches to enable the passenger seats to become rear seats
and move us from "Fast Act" to fully compliant crash testable road legal cars. This change cost us millions of dollars and several years."
As a result, the three-abreast arrangement puts the two passengers behind the driver in a similar fashion to the McLaren F1.

Never knew this thread existed, but super cool to catch up on. Have been a huge fan of Glickenhaus for a while. Here's a couple years ago pushing something neat across the west side highway. Car wasn't that heavy, and went on to do bigger and better things. I'm in the middle black coat. Fun times.

I litterally said this years ago and told him that. Some people don't want to listen. .
They think they can outsmart the regulations. You can't. At best you can dodge them for a little while but once you want to scale up... You get swallowed by them.

People have no idea the regulatory **** you must go through.

how many SCG-003 manufactured? I only heard Christopher Ruud bought one when I spoke with him years ago.
JG built only 3 race cars? 2 road cars?

What is the plan with SCG-004? 50 cars?

I think there are 3 street cars built, and as of January all were in Jim's possession:
    CS (1)- Blue Carbon
S (2)- Black Carbon w/ gold striping, and one white.
?- There may be a fourth but I think the Geneva car was turned into the one with gold details.

Race Cars: I believe there are three: Red (was previously yellow), Black (in private hands) and a white one. Unclear if the white one is actually one of the others with a wrap, so there could just be two. In my

That whole situation seems sketchy. Glickehaus touted it as the first customer car with a Goodwood delivery over THREE years ago. Afterwards it was backtracked as just a prototype.

In the three years since, there are zero deliveries of 004, and to my knowledge zero street cars in the hands of private owners that aren’t affiliated with Glickenhaus.

after the sensation of his p4/5, he shouldve gone into the ferrari restomod biz instead of trying build cars from scratch. his stuff is very cool but just cant compete with the big factories.

    Glickenhaus in 2022:

"He answers: Publicity. Credibility. Proof-of-concept engineering. Plus, it’s fun. His investors hope he’s right" THE INVESTORS (whoever they are...were) WERE WRONG!

"At the top of the agenda, though, is to sell racing versions of the 007. “Our cars are the least expensive Hypercar. We’ll sell our car for 2.5 million Euros ($2,676,677). You can buy the spares you want, and if you race in our garage next to us, we will split the cost of racing equally with you. It’s a helluva deal, and there are several teams that are interested in what we’re doing. I think we have brought back the spirit of Jim Hall, Briggs Cunningham, and Carroll Shelby as Americans, and I think people really respond to it.” Several teams, he says, are very interested in racing a Glickenhaus." NO BUYERS FOR THE 007, ZERO! There was no interest at all (a Porsche 963 at 2.9M USD would be a better investment and has already proven that by the sale of many customer cars, even Ferrari sold and built already more than nine 499PM)

He wanted to race against Ferrari at Le Mans, but before the battle began, he left with the tail between his legs!

Didn't he use the same phrase as Enzo Ferrari, learning of his first victory and of Alfa’s defeat: “Today I killed my mother" when he JG was racing at the Nürburgring VLN series?

Credibility....I have my own opinion about that

The guy behind the Karenable supercar blog bought a SCG004 - still waiting on it AFAIK, but a while back he opened an instagram questionnaire and I asked him whether he was worried about the company's situation and he responded "not one bit".

Jim keeps posting on instagram, the latest is the Baja version of this car, but the cars haven't shown up as of yet. The oops Goodwood is not the best look, even though it was clearly driver error witht he wheel on the grass, and even if JG did comment on how strong the car was and how it protected its occupant etc...

so that car should have been delivered already years ago https://karenable.com/decision-time-scg-004s/ but nothing on this car on their website since...

"The 004S is SCG’s second car after the multi race winning 003" Multi race winning??????

"LMP1 hypercar with 25 road legal versions produced alongside the race cars" No 007 road cars have been sold and never 25 ever will be built.

I would say: an air cycling business
