Best non-gun-show prices at Bachman Pawn, Northwest highway. Bring a passport and Visa to that area of town.

Bachman Pawn and Gun cannot be beat. Although they do charge a couple percent markup if you don't pay cash, to cover CC merchant fees.

DFW gun range is good also. Used to be owned by an Fchatter once upon a time.

Bachman has a very bad reputation amongst the local gun nuts for being pricks to deal with. Most former customers won't set foot in there. If you must purchase from them, their gunshow prices are normally better than in the shop. If you want to test their attitude, demand (or even ask nicely) for the gunshow price. DFW Range is supposed to be decent to deal with. There is a small shop in Grand Prairie that carries Glocks.

702 Davis, Grand Prairie, Texas 75050
    Store hours: Tues-Thurs - 10:30 am - 5:30 pm
    Friday - 10:30 am - 5:30 pm
Saturdays & Sundays only during classes
    Closed Mondays
    Metro: 972-263-GUNS (4867)

What is the one where you can pay to try out different models right there at the range?

Target Masters will do that and make you a pretty good deal on a gun as well.

While not quite the price of some of the others, they have very good after sale support.

DFW Gun Range will rent lots of cool toys and has a nice indoor range.

"DFW Gun Range is conveniently located near Downtown, Love Field, and the Stemmons Corridor Market Center. Our address is 1607 West Mockingbird Lane."

You can't buy a gun for someone else. That's a straw purchase. Felony.

I'm sure that one would be fun, but I would rather have my G22. More stopping power and more control. If you want a full auto, get an Uzi. But then again, you're probably just seeing if he could get it for $390. :) I'll take one too.

    Lol.....I like my Glock 22. I'm looking into a Glock 22C and a Glock 27 as a bckup gun(concealed backup).....I'm also looking into a AR-15 as well as another 12 gauge Remington Magnum(Police).

I personally don't like AR-15's. I've owned several and I have never liked any of them. If you do get one, then I would suggest a Colt. Don't buy a cheap brand, you'll regret it.

those who know me know that I never buy cheap, lol.....I miss the Spas-12 Riot Shotgun....Traded one for a couple AR-15's before...Cool shotgun though....I wouldn't mind looking into more Sig's and Springfields.

I shot a G22 competively for 2 years, and carry a G27 as a concealed handgun too. I love Glocks, at one time I had just about every model that the made except the 18 and the "Euro only" .380. Those were the days. ;)

You can buy nice LE only AR's for cheap money. I just picked up a flat top .223 carbine. Haven't shot it yet, but if shoots like the rest of them, I will be happy.

    As far as shotguns...one word...Benelli!

Are Sigs generally considered a step up from Glocks?

I've shot them all, and to me Glock is the best gun to carry or to combat shoot with.

No external safety to fumble, streamlined ergonomics, interchangable mags with smaller members of the same caliber family (good for back-up guns accepting carried hi-cap mags).

Don't get me wrong, Sig makes a high quality gun, just a matter of opinion on what to carry.

    Just my .02.

I looks like the DFW Gun Range is not an option any longer. Saw on the news tonight that their roof collapsed in all the rain from the weight of the water. It looked like it was totally wiped out.

I concur. SIGs are nice guns. They are just not for me. I have tried several different guns for carry. I keep coming back to Glock. They have no external safety or decocker to fumble, they are easy to strip down and clean. They are light. All parts are readily available and cheap. You can do repairs yourself and replace parts with ease. Mine have been stone cold reliable.
