I've seen other Ferraris with these gloss black treatments - in areas where you'd normally see either aluminum inserts or carbon fiber inserts (dash, center console, etc.). But this is the first time I've seen one with the gloss black paddles. However I see that the paddles don't say "UP" and "DOWN" like aluminum and carbon fiber paddles. Is this standard practice with these gloss black parts? Or is it an option to delete text from the paddles?

My guess is that they are alu paddles that was painted later by either a Ferrari shop or some third party shop doing this. Many have stuff like this done all the time on their various cars, from Golfs to Ferraris. I've never heard of this being an option. If you go "Tailor Made" I'd think you could do it. Whether or not they would say up/down, idk. If I had gloss black, I'd go for no text.

I've seen too many Ferraris with gloss interior trim (dash inserts, center console insert, central bridge, etc.) to believe that it's aftermarket. I've also seen these glossy inserts (in lieu of aluminum or carbon fiber) in different colors: blue, white, purple, black, etc. But this is the first time I've noticed the paddles. I'm convinced this is a factory option that's only occasionally chosen. And with the paddles, I'm curious about the text - whether it's just not available on the gloss finish/material, or if it's an option not to have any text on the paddle. And, if it's an option, can aluminum and carbon fiber paddles also have the text deleted.

Sometimes I fantasize about working in a Ferrari dealer. But then I imagine I'd get fired after a week...

"Carbon, none of your questions are helping to make any money. You need to go."

    "But I'm curious!"

Piano Black finish on anything in the interior of cars drives me nuts. Between fingerprints and dust it is impossible to keep it looking good.

Especially if they left the wheel CF as in the picture above.

It looks like he did the tach surround in gloss black also. Makes me think that that is factory work.m can't imagine it is too hard to have them leave off the decals if you're going through the effort of asking them to paint the paddles.

As per the picture included here I would say this car left the factory like this( too much detail and a lot of red ). Which shows the paddles are red here also.

Woah. That's a lot of red. Interesting they still decided to go with a yellow tach...
