    I have a UK right hand drive 456 GTA. My glove box light is not working. The lamp is fine, there is a good earth and the micro switch is working, but I don't have any power. Does anyone know where this is fused and/or where the power should come from?

    Unfortunately, no one has wiring diagrams for the 456GTA.

    On the 550, the glovebox light uses the same fuse as the clock and door lights. On the 456M, the glovebox light is powered by a fusebox separate from the main fuse/relay panel. I don't think the 456GTA has an equivalent.

    Does your boot light work?

    Is there special logic like the sidelights have to be turned on before it will work? The forward luggage compartment light on my F355 needs this.

    Ok gotta ask the stupid question- is the bulb bad? If it’s ok you might need to pull the glove box out to check wire connections - it should be held in with some screws and then slide out (at least that’s how it is on the GT (pre M)). Good luck

    Thanks for the replies, I managed to get this sorted. The bulb/lamp was fine, the first thing I checked.

    I used a continuity tester to trace the power back to fuse 22 which also looks after reversing lights, indicators and mirrors. In the end the problem turned out to be a bad live push-on connector which was an easy fix.

    Thanks for the follow-up.

    Strange. On the 456M, brake lights are only powered with the key on. Is this the same on the 456GTA? Does your glovebox light only work with the key on?

    On the 456M, lights like the boot light (and I assume the glovebox light) are powered by live battery power.

    Sorry I didn't reply, I got on with some other stuff., but yes the glovebox light on my GTA powered via the ignition key
