From what I understand , this is just preproduction piece and it still needs some work. I still don't get, what's up with GMP their shut lines are horible on all their models. Such nice models and the panel gaps are worse than on Mattel.

You are correct, this is a pre-production model. GMP wanted to change some things and pushed it off a little. As for the panel gaps, I have a 312 PB and they are fine for a die-cast. I saw a 512 S at Watkins Glen last year and I can tell you the panel gaps on the real car are not small. It was a lightweight race car with removable panels. So with that being said, the panel gaps in the photos do not look bad at all. The car actually looks very nice, and this is not even a final piece!

I have both the 330 P4 and the 312 PB and have no problems with their fit. As for the 512, I may hold out for the Coda Lunga which I know is coming. If I decide not to go that route, I hope that they also do Mario Andretti's Sebring winner.

Here is a picture to show what I mean about the panel gaps. I have had the pleasure of seeing this beast two times. You have to remember these are not 458 Italias, they are race cars, made as light as possible, with panels that need to be easily removable. Look at the panel gaps on the engine cover in front of the rear wheel, and the door below the window. That is how they were built, and if you ask me GMP actually did a good job matching them....

Those aren't panel gaps on the GMP model. The doors are open :D
