Go to Victory Lane Karting near the intersection of I77 and I85. This is by far the best semi-serious karting for the money. The people are nice, the karts are fast and fairly well balanced, and you get to wear a racing suit...tell me that isn't cool. The owner used to race in Europe, maybe Formula 3000? I can't remember to save my life.

I already told him about Victory Lanes but I don't think he has a license. I remember one time I went there with some of the guys and a few of the NC/SC Professional karting guys. All I remember was I got tapped from behind, spun around and got hit Hard in the side in only a split second. Talk about whiplash and the other guy had no time to react at all. I felt that hit for a few days.

I used to go see my Aunt in Myrtle Beach at the "Grand Prix" place near the Grand Stand since she was the manager and race the Bigger Go-Karts all day long. You definately have to have a Drivers license for them since the speed is a lot greater than other go-kart tracks around the area or possibly the entire state. She no longer works there so no free Waterpark tickets anymore :( .

They actually closed the "grand prix" down and put in more holes for the attached par 3 golf course. Which sucks, but they were never open anyways. If they were open the place was packed!

I've never been to VL, so maybe we need a ferrari-chat NC/SC shoot out for top driver of the year or mayeb we could set up 3-4 races for a mini championship hahaha

I went to Victory Lane with a friend and his dad and his dad's boss...who just happened to be Ernie Irvan. That was probably the most fun I have ever had, however, Ernie's friend, an instructor at Petty Racing school, forced me into a wall where I proceded to come to a viscious stop, break a helmet visor and bruise my chest for the next 3 weeks. I wouldn't trade would I learned that one day for anything though.
