Well at lunch, whilst he was in the bathroom, we decided it was Daniel's job to do the post-race write-up! Have fun, man... :) He can do a subjective play-by-play with neat little additions I’m not quite skilled enough to write! I’m also too tired to write with creativity anyways :p.

I'd first like to say that our friend Jeremy (L8braker) was on pole, so congrats to him! He also went on to win with Dwight (HUTCH91TR) by just over 8 seconds. Their team set a fastest lap of 32.144 (set by Jeremy), fastest of the day as well, on lap 76. They had the lead about 90% of the race and finished with 100 laps complete .
Eddie and my dad were team 2, which is also where they finished, and Eddie set their fastest lap of 32.444 seconds on lap 76. They beat my team by 23 seconds.
Our team, Kevin and I, started fourth and was the only team to move up in position! We finished 3rd yet managed to stay on the lead lap, albeit barely. We were 31 seconds behind at the finish and I set the fastest lap for us on the second to last lap, lap 99, with a 33.140.
Steven (N24RE) and someone whose name here I am not actually sure (I’m kinda dead at the moment, but I apologize ) started third and finished fourth thanks to my teammate making a slick move very early in the race ;). Their fastest lap of 32.574 was set on lap 90 by I think Steve. They finished 2 laps behind the leaders at 98 laps.
Team 5… well, let’s just say they started out in a hole; Daniel was on this team! (I’m givin you a hard time, man, you were actually faster than me anyways :p) Eleven people showed up to race, but Daniel and his teammate were kind enough to each give up a stint to let him on their team. Good job, fellas, as the rest of us were all too selfish to do so :p. Their fastest lap of 32.661 on lap 79 was set by I have no idea who (they had the most confusing driver order ever with 3 people). They also finished with 98 laps.

The amazing thing is how well the racing worked out. The average time of the first place team was 35.166 seconds per lap. Incredibly the last place team had a lap average of 36.146! All teams were within a second of each other on average and all the fastest laps were within a second too. Daniel also showed up with an awesome gift for me, a Ricambi America hat. Thanks man! I still don't know why you gave it to me after all the crap I gave you this weekend ;)

If this confused you, suck it up and read it a second time! My arms hurt! ;)

    Pics in a few minutes...

How long was the course? Right now I have our average speeds at about 35mph... which can't be right... I thought you said it was 1/3 of a mile?

Is this a monthly thing or what?

    Nice pics Chris!!!

Jeremy clearly won the race for us, I was sliding and squealing the tires all around the course... and spinning occasionally.

Definitely a hell of a lotta fun!!!! When are we gonna do it again????

    Great meeting everyone :) !!!!

It better become one! As long as my dad keeps payin for it, that is... I can't afford $100 a month :(. Hey it's ok you were late, you made it in time for the race :).

BTW, I went through the other thread to get names for the people that were there, so there may be some mismatches. Sorry guys, I'm just bad at remembering names! :p

Wheewww is anyone else sore?? hahaha Those things gave me a good workout.

I had a blast and it was nice to meet everyone. I especially had fun with Eddie on the first stint where we were so close. My teamate Dwight aka Hutch didn't let me down! We qualified first & last, but he improved with every stint and wound up getting a very quick lap himself. I'll post pics later and my wife got a two tiny video's on my digi cam if anyone wants to host them. Thanks Daniel for organizing it.

I vote for a monthly meet! Satuday morning like that was perfect for me.

Funny observations.....I noticed Eddie & I set our fastest time on lap 76 but he was about 1/2 lap behind so he wasn't following my line. The other thing was I believe Ken set the fastest lap for team 5 because he was around me at that point. I was behind Ken for a while trying to find a way past(which was hard) until he made a slight bobble then he was right behind me for a few laps. It was funny because as soon as Ken realized the mistake he snapped his fingers haha.

For any of you guys who didn't come, who live in Charlotte no less, you missed out on the most enjoyable event in a while! I know everyone was scared to get on track with Daniel, but after you pass him then you are safe!

Quick! Call the Paramedics or 9-1-1 !! Eddie just suggested that he was *tired* of driving!!! He must be having some type of medical emergency, because there's NO WAY the Eddie we all know (and love) would say such a crazy thing!

The level of competition with this guys is so high that you try to stay with them at no cost, just think:45 minutes practice non stop, 15 minutes qualifyng, 10 minutes first race, 10 mintes second race, 15 minutes finals.
If you are good you make it to every race, so not only you are really tired, your body is in pain, the stress makes you dizzy etc. etc. etc.
Most of this guys don't even brake at any turn. I asked them how they do it, they said: 2 years of coming here every monday (that explains everything)
